I worked 5 years for Diamond Offshore before getting caught up in the layoffs. I miss all that time off, LoL. I know the feeling. Mostly worked 28 and 28 over seas and in the gulf. Wish I'd have started the channel back then. Id have had more content for sure. Be sure to let us know if your a crappie guy what you want to see in our crappie videos. Crappie isn't as big on RU-vid as people think, so we always look for suggestions on that. Thanks
Enjoyed this. I'm mainly fishing saltwater here in Florida but i get up to Minnesota 4-5 times a year to see my wife's family. Got hooked on channel cat and crappie on the lake they live by. I've got access to about a hundred species within a 30 minute boat ride for myself in florida but catching a darn crappie gets me fired up more than a 20lb grouper at this stage. Great job.
local dubach man here i love watching yalls channel and thank yall for all yall do for farmerville . hope my small donation to yalls channel is help keep putting out great content .
Brother I think we're gonna be here a while. Got a lot coming up this year, and everything helps keep it going. RU-vid don't do much for it's content creators without viewer support. Views, likes, shares, and comments all help our channel and help the videos reach more viewers. You guys are the ones that make it happen. Looking forward to seeing y'all in the comments section. If we ever get better Internet in Union parish I'd like to do some lives and such in the future to involve you guys more. God bless!!
Y'all y'all y'all and y'all with guest stars y'all y'all and y'all let's not forget y'all and those y'alls over there next to those y'alls. Right up amongst those yall's over yonder.
Greatly appreciate the follow and support. Love seeing our local guys, gals, and kids finding us on RU-vid. We're building something everyone can watch. You guys be sure to let us know what direction y'all want these videos to go in the future as well. God Bless!!
Yes sir, it always is! If you haven't already, be sure to follow our Cooking channel as well, "God's Country Southern Cooking" for more of our cooking!! Just getting it going, but much more to come!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 You know, I have ate cat all my life and never once thought of steaks, guess that is on the menu for my next mess. Thanks for the tip!
You've missed out!! However, I'd be careful with the kids. I probably started eating those as a kid at around 5 years of age. They also aren't as small as they look on film. I have a Cajun cooker basket fryers and those whole fryers barely go in the baskets. Fine eating!!!
Peanut oil will last the longest and give you the most fry's. Health wise I'm sure something like olive oil in a skillet is better if your not cooking a lot. Our Cajun fryer has peanut oil and lasts around 6 months. However, I do use Olive oil when camping and stuff so I don't have to take a lot. That said a lot of fish get fried in Vegetable and canola oils. I've fried many in it. Hope this helps!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 thanks for the reply man. Also how long do you leave your nets out? Does it depend on type of bait? Location? Etc? Im sorry if you already said it in another video I’m a new viewer so I’m trying to learn as much as possible. I’m located in Shreveport Louisiana 👍🏻
We took ours up last week. You can still catch, it just gets hot and lot of work. We fish the wire nets more in summer for channel cats. Oct-May for hoop nets. Don't bait hoop nets, but use compressed power bait blocks in wire nets. We also fish wire nets in mid winter. You'll see that in the videos. Thanks for watching !!
That depends on # fish, oxygen in water, water temps. Winter we go 7 days. Summer you'd have a net full of dead stuff if you go 7 days. The summer wire net videos I explain a lot of that about water temps, thermocline, etc. How many days we go on wire nets, etc
Just got my nets all started today. I gotta order some of that block cheese. I'm gonna have to use bucket cheese this weekend. I thought about throwing a bar of ivory soap in there as well. Have you ever tried any soap in your nets
Plenty of mercy and decency to go around here at God's Country Hunting and Fishing. When I think of decency, I think of working hard for a living and being strong enough to provide for our own family, rather than depending on others to do so for us. God give us resources here on earth and we utilize those resources best as we can. When I think of mercy, I think of the Mercy God had on each of us when he gave his Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Without that mercy, we'd all be in trouble. God bless!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 But the fish are his creatures too, aren't they? I mean, it is literally just one more step in your process that takes around 30secs per fish. Thanks for the very decent answer ;)
I don't sell them. There are some guys in Mississippi that might. Look on Facebook for Mississippi commercial fishing, hoop net, and slat trap groups. There are several good ones that run them for sale. Also you can call "Nets and More" in Jonesville Louisiana or Champlain's Nets company. They sell most of the type gear we use. Thanks for watching!!!
