I was born in Texas raced in Texas but now I live in Alabama and I've got to admit cheese grits. And fish all of the way you cannot beat cheese grits. Connecah sausage. That had to be good! Love me some catfish and grits! My PB on rod and reel was 30lb Blue, my PB on jug lines AKA pool noodles is 35.5lbs Blue! The best part is the belly meat. Keep it real like always!

Cool fishing trip and terrific fish and grits recipe. That creamed vegetable cheese topping looked wonderful. In the way back we used to fish for jewfisn in the mangrove channels near Goodland with branch set lines. The 5-10 pounders were delicious. The big ones would pull the limb off the mangrove.

A tip from a old fish mongers son. Soak your fillets in buttermilk overnight it will draw out the muddy taste plus the enzymes help tenderize the fish . And it's ready to bread.

If you can catch a few bream try using them on your limb lines .. They’re deadly for big Flatheads and big Channel cats. I used to fish that same part of the Altamaha river and live bream was the Key.
