I thought Chytil looked good also.. I can't speak on Kakko because I don't have a feel for what he does on the team.. I do know that Wenneberg needs to play better for sure, and Rempe played amazing by the book punishing style of hockey.. He has a nose for playing the game the right way.

Rempe had 9 hits - averaged more than a hit per minute (7-8min), the most of all players - before OT. That was his job, he did it well. And the Rangers won. 😁 🐻

EXACTLY... read my mind. Our lil 🐀 wasn't 110%. We should've kept going with beef, not rats. Same thing happened with Bergeron coming back from injury. 🐻 We lost - 3 games in a row. If they are not 110%, they dress for practice then put on their pom poms and stay on the bench.

funny how the Panthers scored and taunted the B’s before getting angry when the Bruins took exception. now, the Panthers get scored on and have a melt down. they’re a decent team but the antics are a bit much. even worse is they constantly get away with it too. hope they get roasted in 5.

Yeah I’m all for physical hockey and that game had a ton but agree this is super risky in hockey pinning someone down like that. It’s a super vulnerable position with everything else going on…

if you are the guy pinned down on the bottom of the pile, yeah, you are afraid. however, you may notice the ranger player was more pissed than scared -- he used his hands to punch back instead of covering up. you cannot count on disciplined player moves to keep you safe because there is so much going on. its even worse standing in front of the net and getting knocked down as a shot is coming in because you have to find the shot and cover up while you are falling or trying to get up. players don't think about this stuff because if you did, it would rationally affect your play so much and you wouldn't be effective. you might note that the refs had a lot of choices and places to intervene but they went after tkachuck right away. that is because of the danger you mention, but also because they know to expect tkachuck to do something dirty to a guy down and out. that is what he does -- hit vulnerable players with cheap shots. it is a very rare and freakish thing to get skate cuts at all, but even moreso to the upper body. i got a skate cut way up inside my pants on the inside of my thigh. it was about four inches long and i didn't even know i was cut until i saw the blood. the skates are super sharp and make a clean cut like a scalpel. i also played in a high school game where a kid actually died from a skate cut to the neck. it was surreal to watch this poor kid bleed out at center ice. nothing could have saved him.

You know, I've always wondered if a team sets up a defender deliberately with an "errant pass" so he can get creamed? Although, on a side note, that was a foolish pass by Panarin. It could very well have been a breakout opportunity for the Cats.
