As a hairdresser for almost 30 years. I have never had any issues until recently. People are not the same anymore. The game playing out here is crazy. It makes it hard for serious clients
At this point, having a personal suite or working from home seems too risky. At least with a salon you have witnesses, and can call the police quickly to a public business.
0:24 why would you sit down and receive a FULL service, knowing you’re not going to pay? These scammers are something else. I recognize them at my restaurant. They come in, IMMEDIATELY dissatisfied with everything, wanting so many things, just to complain about the food and still pack it up to go. Then ask for comps and discounts, and on top won’t tip. Say NO to scammers.
They serve a community that is poor (you can look up the statistics) yet charge luxury prices that they cannot afford. Or they'd have to cut out actually necessities to afford getting their hair done which is not a necessity. Yet this same community has super high standards when it comes to not having your hair done + people afraid of wearing or even hate their natural hair so they need to get expensive styles like braids and sew ins (although honestly a lot of salons take advantage of the fact that a lot of these people don't know how to care for their own hair so they charge people an arm and a leg for basic easy services such as a wash n go).
Maybe just maybe they need to work on their personalities..a great personality makes a woman beautiful...as a nail tech that had many black clients I have the right to chime in even though I'm white, also I don't have good hair and I've been wearing ponytails for 20 years...pop on a ponytail and work on the personality, problem solved..
