Some of the many chaotic stupid moments in the first episode of Exandria Unlimited. I love these adorable goofs so effing much. Please tag spoilers in your comments! All clips belong to Critical Role: / @criticalrole
I can see that, too. Imagine the conversation at home! Marisha: "So you are basically a God at DnD. I'm pretty sure, you are creating a intelligent and powerful character, love." Matt: "Oh no! He is dumb af! To hell with heroism, I choose CHAAAAAOOOOOS!"
"Make a history check, to see if you can remember your dream." "That's a dirty one." "You do not, and we move forward with the story." That breaks me EVERYTIME
Playing dumb characters usually gets some great moments. In one of my campaigns, the DM told us to "make a character totally different from anyone you've played before". I tend to play high-int, high-wis casters, so for this I played a dumbass barbarian. At one point, someone warns us about hill giants. Being from the desert, my character doesn't know what a hill giant is; one of the other party members decided to fuck with me and say "they're ferocious giants the SIZE OF HILLS!" So we roll deception vs insight... and I roll low... with a negative modifier. At which point, my character fully believes hill giants are the literal size of hills and is shitting himself in terror of the idea. Throughout the campaign, the rest of the party keep messing with him and scaring him about it. Finally, we encounter an actual hill giant, and my guy is like, "Wha---but--- that's way smaller than you said!" To which the other player responds, "That's just a baby!" And I had no choice but to go, "....OH, SHIT, I CAN'T KILL A BABY!" 😂 Dumb characters are the best for roleplay, even if they're not great for like... puzzle solving or casting or knowing where the hell to go next lmao (Then again, I guess they can always spin a compass to decide!)
Initially, I thought that this was campaign 3. When I found out that it was just a spacer in between 2 and 3 I was thoroughly disappointed. I could really enjoy a couple years of this.
@@BeaTheBear28 Dorian and Orym are trying to be slightly more serious around the new company. Or maybe they just seem slightly more well-adjusted compared to Laudna, Ashton, FCG, and Bertrand Bell. Even Laura's Imogen has her moments of Chaotic Stupid. Fearne's still an avatar of chaos, though.
3:55 that is the face of a man who is so smart, SO SO SMART, has done AMAZING things in DnD the past decade and yet here he is, having a sudden moment of realization and equal parts awe and regret at where he's at and what he's chosen to do and who he's chosen to be and the people he's chosen to associate with right now
We have to respect that the gang committed to a group of chaotic idiots. Mister Monkey is tied for the smartest member of the party. And glad Matt got to sort of kick back. Smart move.
he's PROBABLY be smarter... but other than that yeah given who is mother (and his insane aunts and uncles...) is... yeah he's be like Dariax just not as dumb XD
Watch Dimension20's Misfits and Magic. Aabria just lets chaos reign if her players are absolutely enjoying themselves. She's perfect for one-shots and mini-series where everyone wants to have fun roleplaying comically.
I'm so glad we got Fearne in campaign 3 cause seeing Ashley play a chaotic character is such a treat and she says so many great things, but I want to see Aimee return as well! It was my first time seeing her in anything and she's immediately crazy and brilliant!
Opal's reaction to meeting a criminal reminds me of when my teacher failed at getting mugged because he was too excited and the mugger told him to leave.🤣🤣🤣
The fact that it’s three chaotic neutral, one chaotic good and only one neutral good really explains a lot. The absolute CHAOS of this group it’s iconic. Edit: messed up the alignments but the point stands
Opal and Dariax together are the ultimate chaotic stupid tag team. FOOD?! GRANDMA?! Piss on my spear, shit in my beard, that's two great pranks! I'm gonna get you back! I'm gonna get you good!
Man I want either Aimee or Robbie to join the regular Critical Role campaign for season 3. They both match that perfect balance of chaotic energy + consistent characterization of the main cast to a T and I've only seen one session so far.
I always like to think Matts use of completely random directions from his compass to steer him is like his DM side jabbing at players who ignore all DMS carefully laid plot hooks and just go off and do something completely random and frustrating lol.
It’s absolutely wild to me that I watched your series of videos before I watched the actual series and I was cracking up but when I finally watched I was dying because you actually left out so many possible clips. I thought I knew what to expect plot wise and there was so much more to it 😂😂😂
Whenever I'm like super stressed or overworked I just come back to "Chaotic Stupid: The Series" and it makes everything better so thank you very much for this
@@136jab Sort of like 'Okay I can only handle you in small doses but I feel like if we were friends and I was in trouble you'd be there in a heartbeat'
