Looks like a killer guitar. I dig the reverse headstock, like the finish, glad the headstock wasn't paint matched to the body on this one. I usually don't dig color matched headstocks on maple necks from a visual perspective. As to the question, it's also cool hearing some background info on guitars from the people who were part of it. If it was just marketing speak, I wouldn't be interested though!
Ok, old video, but I'm always amazed when people do something new and contemporary with a tried and true concept (like a tele). It looks absolutely amazing.

That is absolutely the very BEST tune I ever heard you play. For that matter it is the best tune I ever heard Rob play. It sounds totally 2021. A time when all Metal genres can be thrown into a single mix, yet at the same time it does not seem obvious. Well done. Take a bow!!!
It’s really sad to see such negative comments. Hunter put so much effort in making this video. If you respect hunter and what he does, stop sharing your negativity under his videos. Life is to short for such things. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of Rob Chapman, but in this video he was absolutely correct and nice. And every guitar of his brand I played so far was really good.
This was my first guitar with stainless steel frets . The slickness just freaked me out . This is my go to guitar right now. Awesome video loved the background of the model with Rob. Great job keep up the great videos you do 👍.

Well I am totally not able to decide between this Chapman and the Charvel pro mod dk24 style 2, it looks almost impossible. I love the modern look of the Chapman but I also like the Charvel and the fact that Charvel has got a higher resell value in the future. I am not super excited about the active Fishman pickup but a lot of people say they are very good
I just picked one of these up and it is hands down my favourite guitar in my collection. Now I really want to get a ml1 or 2 and mod it but for the price I think these are a great guitar.

Iv been on the hunt for my next guitar as was ready to write Chapman off given the lack of brand movement recently sooo glad I caught this video iv just finished modifying my ML2 Modern so the prospect of new guitars in Jan means I'm holding off buying anything else till iv seen these new chamans.
I’m upgrading my Schecter C-6 Deluxe to include a Seymour Duncan Sentient on the neck. You’ve got me excited for when I go get it upgraded and have that pickup installed if your demo and raw tones are indicative of how good it is.
Great modding platform, I have one I put Schecter custom shop Apocalypse pickups in. Great comfort, solidly built, and pretty light for a Schecter actually. If you can swing it, some locking tuners are a great quality of life add-on as well.
Great demo track. I had a early ML production. QC was not good at the time, but he has made some really good changes. I sold the old ML, and I wouldn’t mind trying a newer one with a proper set up, especially frets.
Fish , my nephew bought a ocean blue fade Epiphone les Paul modern and he put Seymour Duncan invaders in it and 8 gauge strings on it , and I traded him my les paul prophecy plus for it and the modern is a beast , I love the sound of those Duncan's
The meta regarding any trend, but especially Chapman guitars, tends to swing back and forth between "Chapman are way overrated and overpriced" to "if you don't play Chapman then FUCK YOU". Can we all just play our shit and leave each other alone?
Nice video, and really good to hear some vocals on your tracks! About Chapman guitars, I had one ML1 Pro Modern for a while and there was nothing to really complain about spec or quality-wise. I got rid of it because I did not "bond" with it, but I really should've just kept it. It was a good guitar and affordable second hand. IMHO they seem like very good workhorse guitars, which is actually what everyone should strive for.. but.. when that GAS hits, you want something with a feeling (like a Gibson Les Paul) even though it doesn't make any sense, specs are worse, price is higher etc etc.
Hunter, I have to tell you that that solo did NOT suck! You just need to relax and learn to enjoy it. Maybe invite a friend or two, so as to have someone to play for. I wish I had thought of that for myself YEARS ago. Live stream it to them, if necessary. When you're warmed up and getting excited, you'll start doing things you'd SWEAR you couldn't do. I think you'll find that you're actually a pretty decent lead player!😎❤️🎸‼️
Love the effort you put into these. Seems like a dope guitar. imo, a telecaster is more than just body shape. Its all in the bridge plate for me. The Chapman is a cool dual humbucker guitar. But the Charvel so cal style 2 and the squire contemporary Teles are maybe the only true modern Teles. The new Ibanez ones seem promising too.

I love the Tele headstock, and I love the Chapman headstock! I have an ML1 pro modern, and it's amazing, and I'd love to get an ML3 pro modern, but I think my wife would kill me if I bought any more guitars?
I've resorted to buying new guitars all the same color that way my wife isn't the wiser. 0h, another guitar repair? That's right honey, LOL. Sooner or later she'll figure it out I'm sure.

Super enjoyable video. I've always liked the idea of Chapman guitars because there's not a huge deal of UK guitar companies with a real foothold on the market (correct me if I'm wrong!). They look really nice and hopefully the trend of stainless frets and locking tuners will continue to trickle down that mid-range of guitars. [Visible hype for 7 string, desperately hoping it's a ML3 7 string]
Chapmans are cool, especially because they're not Gibsons, Fenders, &/or PRSs. I bought an ML3 semi-hollow after your recent review. And I couldn't be happier 🤘
That Tele looks amazing. And sounds freakin awesome. Still thinking of a Chapman Ghostfret someday, when they have cooler finishes again like the old ones (black to green or purple) . But Solar is there to, with a mean looking tele and a nice e type.
Okay, admittedly I don’t pay too much attention to the “guitar internet” beyond a select group of youtubers, but… what issue do folks have with Chapman guitars? Never owned one but often admired. I think they seem rad - lots of forward thinking ideas. So, why the hate?
I think that reversing the tele head saved it. It's one reason I won't buy a fender tele. I wish it had an old school oversized head. But the chapman head saved it. Not the best headstock but works and it's not ugly.
Aah, I gonna have to check out this Chapman, because JUST recently I finally bought my first T, the only reason why I never got one before is despite me likey the sounds, I DON'T like the ergonomics, ...or the lack thereof. No forearm contours? Nope. No tummy cuts? Are you kidding? Most Ts are non-starters as far as I'm concerned. After nearly 20 S and Super-S, and a half dozen arch-top LPs, playing on a flat slab of wood with hard edges is a no-go for me. I love the comfort cuts the strats gives me. While arch-top LPs are not as good as a strat contour cuts, they're still way ahead the flat slabbed Ts. The most comfortable LP I have is a Jackson JS-22 Monarkh SC. It's actually a flat body, BUT it also has BOTH forearm and tummy cuts AND a neck access relief in the single cut. And its basswood body is significantly lighter than the typical LP. Odd thing is that I still prefer my Agile LP, which is a more traditional 50s style body AND sounds way better. ...And easily anong the heaviest guitar I have. nI'm working on some pup swaps and other mods to hopefully bring it closer to my Agile sound-wise. The first T for me is an used '17 Squier Contemporary Telecaster HH in black metallic, which has tummy cuts but unfortunately doesnt have any forearm contours. Still, the 12" fret radius, big frets, tummy cut AND a strat middle rout was enuff for me to get another one, a new 2020 in red metallic. The black one is being modded into a Nashville SSS, whilst the red one will stay HH. Seymour Duncan pickups will go into both guitars. The SSS will get Vintage Stack Tele neck, a Custom Shop custom Stack Strat middle and a Hot Stack Tele bridge. The red HH will get a JB/59 set, I MAY decide to add a SC HB middle pup to have a HSH. Heck, I may just try a Vintage Stack Tele in the middle and order a new pickguard from Warmoth. Still missing the forearm contour tho... :( I may end up ordering a custom Warmoth T with tummy cut, forearm contour and a neck access relief. Rout a HSH cavity that accepts a tele neck in middle along with a matching pickguard.

Oh boy, I'm so stoked for a new ML2 lineup! Or maybe the Ghostfret with a flamed top! I'm kinda on the fence swapping out the EMGs in my Eclipse (not because the wiring is good, just because I can't bother lol) if I end up not doing it, I might just get rid of it.

This video makes me like Rob a little bit more...again. I owned one of the first Ghost Frets sold in the US. Even then, almost $1000. My problem is not at all with Chapman guitars, but knowing that for the same price, you can get PRS guitars that exceed them in quality, consistency, and resale value. OR...you can get MiM Fenders that are amazing, used USA made guitars, etc. Epiphone hits the sweet spot for import guitars. Rarely over $1000 and at the top of the range, you can get some absolutely killer specs on them and a case.
I’m glad that you have enough presence on the platform to get Rob Chapman on the channel, but it’s also a little disappointing to see you collaborating with one of the industry’s most toxic people. Love your content though, keep it up 🤙

Didn't used to like Chapman guitars. They seemed, in my head, like they were basically Harley Bentons with a RU-vidr attached to them. BUT. Now they're hated. And I like them more. Says a lot more about me than it does about Chapman! Also, I know you've been a fan for ages so it's cool to see you doing collabs etc. So happy for you!
