I just discovered you Emaan! You have done a lot for me. I have a REQUEST, and hope you can help. I am a new Orchid Grower. I have been slow learning the art of "growing orchids". I never knew that it was such a planet of it's own! Now, I have a very green thumb and I have my own greenhouse. BUT the orchids are not doing well for me. I just learned on here that during root rot, some of the roots - you KEEP them. I was told to cut everything down to the crown. As you can imagine, I am losing my orchids. Can you please do a video about "the anatomy of orchid roots"? Please? What is "velamin"?? Not sure of the spelling. What can be left behind? Do orchids shed their roots and create new ones? I need to understand the root system entirely. There is so much info out there. Contradictory information. I would like to hear this anatomy from you! Thanks. Hi!Emaan, iam enjoying watching how you look after orchids. I wonder if the sphagnum moss can use to the other house plant like pothos? And also when using the self watering container I wonder how much water you have to put in the bottom! I would like to try as I am going away for few weeks. Please let me know as you experience. I looked over several of your videos. I will do my best. If I succeed I will have two beautiful orchids. The one is called Belinda, the other is Hot KISS. The one that has one leave not so hot. Maybe it will grow a baby. They were not in pots. The other has 3 leaves that are green but very dry. I will put upside down in rain water for a day to see if they will get strong. I am glad you said not to repot. Since they have none I have to fit them one. They are in sphagnum moss, too dense. Thank you.

Emaan I have pretty orchid pot from flower shop with spagnum median and 2 orchids...how dry should moss be before watering does it have to be completely dry ??
Moss doesn’t need to be completely dry while watering, because dry sphagnum moss becomes hard as wood. If the top part of moss is dry you can water. But you don’t soak it, don’t let it sit in water . You just put half cup of water with fertilizer. This will be enough for 2 weeks ( it depends from the environment how fast you plant will get thirsty). Always concentrate from root. Roots will tell you if you are watering correctly or you are overwatering. The first sign of overwatering is root rot. The second sign of overwatering is falling the bottom leaves. If roots are silver color it means your orchid is thirsty . If they are still green it means they don’t need water.
I love watching your videos, but you have commercials every three minutes, whether I let them run or skip them. Is everyone experiencing this? I'm happy to let the commercials run at the end of the video. It's hard to watch when the video is interrupted so frequently.
Hi wish you were here. I have a big challenge. I ordered 2 orchids on eBay. In September 30. Today is January 10, 2020. They came today. Can you imagine the shape they are in. I am hydrating them in warm water. One nearly has one leave. The other has 3 leaves, very dry. There are a few green roots.
Hi. I’m very sad to hear that from you. But there is still hope that you can save your orchids. In that case left over cold tea works great and of course rain water. My papery orchids which I found from Lowe’s started growing 2 new leaves and lots of new roots. I was not sure that something can happen with that orchid, because it was in a very bad condition. I will recommend you to plant your orchids in a cola bottle. I showed how to plant in a cola bottle in my last video . That method will help you without any headache bring your orchids to life again in short time.
Emaan's Garden Emaan's Garden Hello. Love your videos and instruction. I will try this bottle method. I too have a suffering orchid with what I think is stem rot. I have tried cinnamon and I’ve cut away the rotted roots and cleaned the stem. Also did away with the yellowing bottom leaf but now the stem is turning yellow along with the remaining 2 leaves. This video gave me some hope. It was the first orchid I purchased from Lowe’s as well. Beautiful Snow White flowers with a deep purple lip. I named her Angel Fire. I hope she lives up to her name and makes it through. Thanks for your time.

If you reply your subscribers than all subscriber are benighted and your one video with our comment added your reply can make many more video from one to hundereds . That helps us.
