Melissa Walker Don’t you have salt build up on leca beads if you don’t put moss? Or you flash it sometimes? I never flash mines. Once a month I add water

Emaan's Garden I do flush sometimes and also don’t use too much fertilizer in the water. There is very little build up because it stays moist inside. I tried this with moss but it stays too wet for me for some reason. It’s so nice to have help watering from these containers that we can make ourselves :)

Gioula Mparta I Hope that you will have excellent results like I do. To work with this medium is easy. It doesn’t get dry very fast. 2 weeks you can live without thinking about watering your orchids. And at the same time it doesn’t rot the roots like moss. You are welcome!

Thanks for the informative video.. You made slits on the sides of the plastic container. Did you make a hole in the cover or cork of the plastic container? Pls make a video on how you grow your moss.. Thanks

Patricia Leu it doesn’t matter if you keep the cover or cork there. It doesn’t do anything. That’s why I didn’t talk about that. I will make a video about how I grow my moss.

I am learning at lot. Thank you for your videos. I have questions: Why did you not put vermiculite and perlite in the medium for the self-watering containers? How often do you water with fertilizer? I also saw some orchids in the self-watering containers have sphagnum moss on top and others doesn’t have. Does it matter? Thanks again.

Emaan can you please give me advise about my orchid which is been in my house from last five months and produced couple of new leaves as well but since last three weeks I have been noticing rotten smell and now leaves start falling and then i noticed crown has been rotted but still it has two leaves and healthy roots, i'll really appreciate your advice.

Gricelda Becerra they don’t like cold temperatures. In nursery houses where they grow orchids I saw that they keep orchids in 80 degrees F. But my house is 75 degrees F.

Hi Emaan how are you and you family doing I wish you all well. I do have a question tho what's your experience with hydrogen peroxide and your orchids? It don't seems to be working for me pure or mixed with water. I can't wait for my potassium permanganate to come in this week and try it because I lost another orchid again 😢 and 2 keeps fighting but I saw rotting on one of them. Anyways I still put Take Root on them an punt them in new zeeland sphagnum moss as you did but I'll keep you in touch. Takes again for your wise video's.

+M. Frederique hi. I don’t use hydrogen peroxide. I ussd it only once when I was in Florida, because I had to help to some of them immediately. But that time I didn’t have my potassium permanganate with me. Hydrogen peroxide doesn’t dry out immediately like PP. I tried also cinnamon powder, but it is not for orchids ( doesn’t work good) . Best I found pp.

I don't find it works at all one of the orchids that are fighting for there life it still didn't help the rotting good so I was able to order the potassium and will be getting it between now and Monday. Later on I'll order the rest of the stuff you showed us in your videos to fertilizer the orchids.

How did you get them to root? Did you use a hormone cream? Or did you just make sure the fungus was treated and gave them a good environment. Been watching a long time and following along but my orchid isn’t doing well.

If you are asking about those orchids which I planted in soda bottles I didn’t use any rooting hormone on them. I feed them constantly. And I showed how I feed them in this video if you wanna watch and learn.
