Great update Kerry and so great to see you so well. I’ll have another think to see if I can help get you a job. I’ll come back to you. All the best mate. Greg
Sorry to hear that. It seems to be the fashion at the moment.

I am so happy about this! Of course being unemployed is a drag, especially because we never quite know how long the period between gainful employment will last (if we could just know, we'd enjoy the window of time to do other things). But my main point is, what a great thing to be back in the realm of the relatively ho-hum problems of everyday life! I've never once heard of a dead person being described as unemployed, so it's great news actually. Regarding the job search, seems like perhaps a pivot is being thrust upon you--remember that you have great creativity, humor, writing skills, video editing skills, etc. etc. Perhaps a business where you help other people create their own cancer diaries, or write about their lives from a vantage point of treatment? Don't underestimate how little people know about all the technology involved--it seems like not much to you, but it's overwhelming to many, especially if they are dealing with health issues. That may keep you too much in the realm of sickness than you hope to be, but that idea could be tweaked in many ways. In the meantime, let's hope Fidelma sells many houses! Sending good wishes from Brooklyn. -Leecia
This is really great news and I'm super chuffed for your better health. I have thought of you often over the last few silent months. As for the job, I will keep an eye out for you. Tips on résumés... Don't put your DOB on. Fill gaps with friends who will say you've been contracting for them for that time and extend your last role by several months... Noone cares, really. A resume is just a foot in the door. I absolutely loved your kid's videos that you did and I shared them to my network because I have friends who have kids. Frankly, I think these are far better to spruik to a production company. On the side, your reading voice is great, so perhaps voice over/acting work? Are there possible roles outside of IT or other associated verticals? If you could be a consultant with all your expertise, could you do your own thing? I'm shooting in the dark I know, and I hope I'm not stating the bleeding obvious, though probably am. I work for a business who hires people on experience rather than age so don't lose hope. And if all else fails, dye your folicles. It wont help you get a job but youll look hot. 😁 Wishing you all the best, Kerry. Cheers to good health! 🍾
Thank you, oh queen, for your wise words of encouragement - they certainly boost my ego. DOB is definitely missing from the CV, so, incredibly, there must be something else wrong with me. Do you think the hair dye would help with the ridiculous monk-like bald spot that isn't visible from the front?
