This is eargasm, absolutely stunning players. Everyone knows guitargod Marty's ability but this Char, WOW. How elegant, how intelligent and soulful phrasing. This goin to be my favorites to eternity.
Jesus christ. This is literally the first time I've ever been brought to tears by guitar playing. Idk if it's because I know I'll never be that good, or because it's so amazing and organic.
I love how the guitarist with the hat have that simple style... But Is really fascinating... Emotional... And really beautiful He picks the right note at the right time
My guess is the first 3 videos where them feeling each other out and it ending with them going out and the last to where about what each other plays and the other trying to play over that. Over all this series was amazing. Anyone who plays guitar and likes to improvise needs to watch all 5 videos because these guys did an amazing job. Got major ideas from it.
Amazing tone and playing!! Char と is great, love his feel and phrasing!! Always been a Marty fan, always sounds great to me. Glad this turned me on to a new guitarist!
Char is Japanese Jeff Beck I think. Marty always been the best one for me and unique but Char deserves big credit as well I just can’t stop listen to them. Every note is mixed of emotions
The contrast between these 2 players is insane considering how they both end up syncing perfectly. Marty tends to create extreme tension and only semi-resolves it to create an endless stream of will-they/won't-they phrases. On the other side you have Char who instead of creating this endless extreme tension stays /PERFECTLY/ in the right zone to sounds gorgeous and fitting from the get-go and stays there until every couple of minutes he goes outside the box for 5-10 seconds to create juust enough tension to finish an idea. just WOW
Marty isn't known as a melodic player as much as he is a high gain shredder among the general guitar public, but in my opinion, that whole improvisation from 1:18 to 3:04 was just as beautiful as anything David Gilmour or the likes have ever written. And Char was amazing in his own right
What the heck are you on about? Forgive my profanity and aggressive approach, but Marty is ABSOLUTLEY known for his Melodic sense. I'd argue at this point in his career, he's known more for his melodic structure and awareness than he is for his blazing fast playing. But, even when he is shredding the face off of anyone listening, what he plays is melodic, beautiful and fits the entire song perfectly.
@@jcdenton616 All his own stuff is melodic. He does complete compositions with strong melodic themes. He played thrash because he was offered a job in a top tier band, where he was able to make a nice living. When you need a job, you take what you can get.
there are a few real professional guitarists in this world. But Marty Friedman is not only one of the greatest guitarists but also speaks almost perfect Japanese, and he started to study when he was about 30. So now I found out that he's just a genius.
Jason Becker tocaba muy parecido a Marty, Marty le enseño tantas cosas a jason... Yo creo que jason era un guitarrista de otro planeta, pero su fuente de musica principal fue marty ,aparte de malmsteen, bach, bethoven, etc... pero el q mas influyo para el fue marty
Me parece que Jason tiene un estilo totalmente distinto al de Marty, va mucho más al lado neoclásico. Eso no quiere decir que no haya aprendido cosas de Marty. Por último, me parece que Jason es el típico prodigio, más que Marty...
Según info bibliográfica de Jason, Marty le enseñó a tocar con metrónomo para poder hacer l primera grabación de su primer álbum juntos, de ahí Jason fue un prodigio, q todo lo hacía a su modo por eso su forma de tocar es muy distinta, Marty es cromatismo y bends con feeling, Jason es neoclásico, sweep picking con Floyd o palanca
Marty Friedman made Megadeth just listen to Rust n peace and Countdown and Youthanasia..he's an amazing guitarist with an eastern feel really melodic as a guitarist he's just to good for this world..If I had the money I wood build this guy a space shuttle..that's how good and great a person this guy is..he's just great phenomenal talent on this planet and he'll do better in another galaxy far away..he'll fit in anywhere his playing is reminiscent of zeppline and whoever matches wits with him..he's that good..I miss him in Megadeth v though..Awesome guitarist I can understand why he left...KK Deveauxgue...
