The first NPC on the 3rd part says she's a good publisher, then Gorou on how she's always playing mind games, then Kokomi saying she's an outstanding shrine maiden, then Itto about that ramen eating contest they had, then Sayu saying she's scary because Yae makes her work, then lastly anothe NPC saying she's come along way from the little girl wanting shoulder rides.

It basically shows the way they deal with grief. They both lost so much that's why Ei tries to keep everything the same for eternity not wanting to face the reality of things aka the world isn't eternal, while Yae decides to strive forward in life knowing nothing lasts forever

This is also backed by that fact that Kazari, a manifestation of someone who preceded at least two generations of grand priestesses, did not have any recollection of another kitsune, but did imply sensing a similar presence to the late kitsune saiguu. Thus, yae was either not born yet, is still too young, or haven't arrived at the grand narukami shrine before ioroi was turned into a statue.
