Yae Miko's stories say she is lazy and bunks off work at the shrine and never helps with government stuff which is boring. She's childish and self centered.
just want to add one more thing even though yae miko handled all of that for those 500 years its not like ei was completely incompetent, before the cataclysm she was the one who protected inazuma as a weapon and not just a weapon but the strongest weapon in teyvat, strong enough to cut universe in half at just her will. still i love how diverse things can be regarding archons and sometimes there can be lots of people handling situation instead of an actual archons (we see that all the time in recent history, diluc, ningguang, yae miko, alhaitham and candace for the forest and the desert, furina and neuvillette instead of foçalors).
You know now that I think of it Yae Miko famously asks of Traveler "do you really think your will alone is enough to challenge Ei?" or something like that. But since Traveler is a Descender the answer to this question is surely "Yes, Duh, my will is enough to change the entire planet she is on, let alone just her." For anyone else it would make you wonder if perhaps she had a point but Miko gets so much else wrong about the Traveler.
Nice video as usual, however kitsune is pronounced "kitsuneee" it sounds something like "ei" but little short. It's Japanese word and it means japanese fox.
yae miko deserves a huge respect indeed but i wonder if she was the one responsible for electro visions not been given out to people and if yes then was it on purpose when she stopped doing that part of archon duty? cause she definitely did that just before our arrival, fischl is not long living species so someone who's not ei had given out her a vision... WAIT I JUST REALISED sara got her vision by yae then. and a wild theory of electro being "mommies girls and doggies" element also goes well with yae miko being responsible for giving out electro visions! please tell me it's nit a crack theory!.. i mean neuvillette is nit an archon yet with authority he can do and even does that part of archon duty. so someone had to distribute electro visions. idk this feels like vibes and vibes only
That is an interesting question I guess it depends on whos perspective your asking like a fellow god or a regular human who thinks they are all knowing hard to say but I actually have a video in the works that sorta touches on that exact topic!
Japanese language is Ki-tsu-ne, these are the hiragana characters き-つ-ね. Tsu can be compared to like you’re going to say “soot” but cuts off abruptly. Hope this helps ^_^ ❤
He never was trying to say she’s the archon bro did all you see was the title? More so that she shouldered the responsibilities of the archon which she did lol
That's certainly a video Yae Miko would approve of because she's a self-centered child who thinks very highly of herself. But it's not much of a reflection of reality. Where to even begin? Yae Miko is not exactly a dummy but she's presented as often thinking she's smarter than she is. For example she predictably loses against Kokomi in the TCG finals. For example she constantly keeps referring to the Traveler as "child" which suggests she has little idea who the Traveler is (in contrast to Zhongli or Ei for example, or even Shogun). Literally Traveler has had naps longer that Yae Miko has lived. She's often a bully which she passes off as playing tricks. She lives to please herself and has almost no sense of duty. She is shamelessly self-centered and admits it openly. One of the best examples of the latter is how she manipulates Traveler to rescue (as she sees it) Ei from her self-imposed sacrifice on behalf of Inazuma. I do think Yae Miko genuinely likes Ei but I also think that her own selfishness at missing Ei is a big part of her motivation. It's all about Yaw Miko, all the time. She calls Ei's decision to sacrifice herself "childish" but she doesn't actually say Ei is wrong in her logic that Euthymia is a way to work around Erosion. Selfishly she wants Traveler to "rescue" Ei from her own sense of duty and because Yae Miko has few friends if any and is herself lonely, but she frames it as rescuing Ei who she says must be lonely. But Ei is a stoic and she honestly can take that sort of punishment. The plot of Inazuma revolves around getting proof to the Shogun that the Tenryou commission's head has been feeding her falsified reports on the progress of the civil war. That's basically the whole plot. Only a few people have the authority to get an audience with the Shogun and only a few have standing to challenge a commissioner. In the game Yae Miko manipulates events to get the Traveler to enter Euthymia multiple times to "rescue" Ei under the pretense of saving Inazuma which Yae Miko knows is what motivates Traveler, and she pretends is what motivates her, but in reality she doesn't care at all about Inazuma. Witness: Yae Miko could have (and should have) gone to see the Shogun at any time and explained to her that she was been misled by a traitor. She didn't. Why not? Because that wouldn't help her get Ei back. So she waits while the war gets worse and worse. She waits for the Traveler who is the only one who can enter Euthymia and cons them into thinking that to solve Inazuma's issues they must talk to Ei, which is false. The idea that Yae Miko would be a good ruler, let alone a better one than Shogun or Ei is ridiculous and even Yae Miko would only say it as a joke. Even if Yae Miko agreed to the job and promised to do her best she'd be horrible at it. The people who run Inazuma on a day to day basis are the three human tri-commissioners, who actually pass the laws and execute them. Shogun acting as an apolitical removed and isolated ceremonial leader of last resort (ironically Shogun has the role of Emperor, from real historical Earth Japan, not the role of Shogun). Yae Miko runs a publishing house because she's BORED and lonely. Yae Miko is not running Inazuma. Do you think Ayato would have time to start up a publishing business as a side hussle? Do you think Ayaka would go around playing tricks on people or bullying people like Gorou? No. Yae Miko is not a serious person. I bet she gets someone else to even tackle the administration of the shrine. She's been known to help Sayu bunk off work. And none of this information is secret. Everyone knows what she's like and she happily confirms it. Her character story 5, specifies several times that she normally avoids any government work (and frankly she often avoids shrine work too).
I don’t even feel like arguing over this but this is just wrong on so many levels she kept inazuma running and that’s all I need to say if you really think ei is any better than her you’ve gotta be joking all the things you blamed yae for Ei is directly responsible for as the default archon. Yae had to clean up her sloppy work while she avoided all her and the nations problems when Mikos job was just to be a shrine maiden. Yae deserves the respect for carrying that nation for hundreds of years even if it was in her own mischievous ways
So basically your head canon is based on hating Ei and ignoring the game text. Here's some quotes from Yae Miko's in-game stories: "Pursuing fun and finding happiness is how Miko lives her everyday life." "While laying about indoors, Miko would often see Sayu flash past the window... Sayu told Miko that the afternoon sun was the most pleasant" "If there was something inconvenient about being the Guuji, it is that she must attend every shrine ceremony" "As the years fly by, boredom becomes the greatest foe" "the shrine had always been an entity unto itself, and the Lady Guuji did not usually meddle in governance" "if even she were, archon-forbid, one day to accept sitting quietly still, obstinate as deadwood, would the world now sorely lack for another clever person adept at discovering fun and grasping opportunity?" " looking for fun things to do in every nook and cranny can only be the most reasonable and necessary course" "Any capriciousness is but the result of doing as she wills and pleases." ---------------------------------------- She hates work, she's always bunking off even her shrine duties. She'd be a disaster trying to run a country. She only cares about having fun and finding something interesting to play with or bullying people with her tricks. She was given the head job she currently has - she doesn't care about it and nor did she ever work to be promoted. She seems to more or less resent it. She doesn't care about Inazuma. She literally doesn't lift a finger to save Inazuma and in fact might have deliberately made things worse for her own selfish benefit. @@Marz333
@@davidjohnson8273Of course she'd be bored out of her mind. She was tricked into becoming a Shrine Maiden. Kitsune Saiguu died and Ei left her for at least 400 years. She technically had no one.
Underneath Miko's prideful and smug side is a girl who lost all her friends and family from the cataclysm and yet continues to live life to the fullest. Her character is full of love, hope, and joy which people enjoy reading into. -Kagura's Verity She once gave out free therapy sessions to the traumatized soldiers of the civil war. She has a good heart which she barely shows. Just like Scara, she's pretty misunderstood by the fanbase.
@@jjksatGojo She gave the Electro Gnosis to Scaradouche, who then took it to Dottore, who then went to Azar since by the time they arrived in Sumeru, the sages including Azar had already imprisoned Nahida using power and magic from Rukedavatta. Allowing them to create the huge mecha suit and using the Electro Gnosis as an endless power supply
@@awesomegamer151 True but it was to save us but I was used to it since Venti and Zhongli got there Gnosis taken away as well. I wanted to see her fight him because he seemed scared but it didn't happen
@@awesomegamer151 But I kind of felt that Miko mainly gave Scara the gnosis probably because she knew it was a heart to him and had lots of meaning to him
@@jjksatGojo Regardless of whether or not Miko may have taken pity on him, my point still stands that 50% of Sumeru’s crisis is her fault. On top of the fact that it was stated in the video that Miko never loses in a fight, despite her being second place in literally everything. She’s not the true Archon. She’s a lazy Yokai that only cares for a tree and a book store. Also, Zhongli made a contract with Tsaritsa for his Gnosis, and sent Childe and Signora on an errand run to retrieve it for her.
