The Voice Cast for Disney's Classic animated film "The Lion King" Do you recognize any voice actors? Where do your recognize them from? For More Characters and Voice Actors - • Characters and Voice A...
I agree. It's super annoying that Disney decided not to bring back Jeremy Irons for Scar in the 2019 remake. I think Jeremy Irons said at one point if only Disney had contacted him about it, he would've loved to do Scar again.
Spike Yeah, but the remake was sub-par at best, and be prepared was spoken, not sung (I know he lost his voice so Jim had to do the rest but still) but for his actual lines, yeah, it would’ve been better...I feel the same about Timon and Nathan lane...
He's the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars Chapter 7: The New Hope, Star Wars Chapter 8 :The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Chapter 9: The Return of Jedi and Rogue One :An Story of Star Wars.
I'm especially impressed at how well Jim Cummings did when he needed to replace Jeremy in Be Prepared. This is the first movie I've seen where they needed to replace a voice actor mid-song.
This voice cast is soo perfect. They brought magic to the movie and made it legendary . No one can beat this voice cast. And that's the reason why the lion king is always the king. ♥️
Michael Johnson I strongly agree with you, pal. James Earl Jones did a great job and a much better job of doing the voice of Mufasa than Gary Anthony Williams.
Joseph Williams did an amazing job with Simba. It really sounds like Broderick is singing. Same with Sally Dworsky, she sounds a lot like Moira Kelley.
Disney often draws inspiration from or reflects the voice actor into the final animation character. If you look closely at Madge Sinclair you can see how she bares a similar regal appearance to her character Sarabi especially the eyelids and shape of the eye. Jeremy Irons also looks kind of similar to Scar if you really observe the two. Also look up Irene Bedard who voiced Pocahontas, another very striking likeness of voice actress to animated character.
I’m glad they still got james earl jones for mufasa for the upcoming live action remake of this movie. His voice is so distinctive that there’s no replacing him.
It's funny cause the three Hyenas were actually the previous incarnations of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy. Like Shenzi being the smart one. Bonzai being the one who's full of himself. And Ed is.... well Ed.
The Lion King is my favorite movie ** and I love the wonderful work they have done with the voice acting Matthew's voice is so sexy, Jones' voice is deep and powerful, Irons sounds creepy and fascinating, Lane is funny as always... such an amazing job from all of them And praise to the singing voice actors who were really good at mimic the voices of the others...
What I never understood is that Matthew CAN sing, he's been in multiple musicals so I always questioned why he never did his own singing for this, especially since it's literally ONE line lol
Shinybud He actually IS singing about half the song we see in the movie, BUT....he blew out his voice at one point, and so the god of voice over, Jim Cummings, was brought in to do the rest of what Jeremy couldn't finish. Indeed Jeremy can sing alright, he has a very tuneful voice :)
Yeah, Matthew is a great broadway singer but he said that he can't "sing in the Disney way". I am not sure what he ment but I guess it means that they didn't found his singing voice fit for the Disney style. Irons didn't actually perfomed Be prepared, Jim sung the whole song. I guess for the same reason.
Francesco Brosolo Sort of....Irons sang SOME of that song, but at one point he blew his voice out, so the God of all voice acting, Jim Cummings, took it over from there.
Jim Cummings only sang the part after "you won't get a sniff without me" in be prepared after Jeremy irons literally super stressed his vocal chords during that part.
2:20 Timon: “Look kid, bad things happen and you can’t do anything about it, right?” Simba: “right-“ Timone: “WRONG!” that gets me everytime 🤣🤣🤣
I thought Jason Weaver and others were all the original actors. The voices match so well. And Jason’s voice was iconic since he played young Michael Jackson as well. This casting is flawless.
Rest in peace Robert Guillaume and Maggie Sinclair. You will both be sorely missed. On a non somber note though. This was not the first time that Maggie Sinclair and James Earl Jones has worked together and has become a married couple on screen. The first movie into which they were married was coming to America. Starring Maggie Sinclair James Earl Jones and Eddie Murphy.
The voice actor for child nala singing is (Laura Williams) and I have many pictures of her if you’d like one. She is my vocal instructor at Inland Conservatory for the Performing Arts. Her Instagram is also @lauralashan
