I know I'm late to this but like, hear me out, a unique necklace or ring, that when charged bolt collides with an unconsumed crackling lighting orb, it consumes the orb, explodes it(doing dmg), and casts another, slightly weaker cracking lighting in a random direction. Or, it consumes the orb, explodes it(doing dmg), and casts another slightly stronger charged bolt at the closest target. (but can not consume another orb from this bolt.)
Yea, I have some greater affix gear for this and really wanted to try it out. Thing is, it's so weak. Makes in general take too damn long to clear any high level boss also. Feels like something isn't working as it should be. If it is, they need a buff.
Of course, if the change said CB was now multiplicative, that would have been a game changer, but adding 15 percent? You can add 15 percent any number of ways and it’s still ordinary.
I have the Staff of Lam with 3 GA. I am going to try the charge bolt build soon but with Level 27-28 Levels into it. 14 levels of charge bolt would be a big gap dps difference... Need to do something different as I am getting tired of my FB Immortal running for weeks now.
@@jadonarey9019 barbs were ass until season 3, and now theyre op but not as easily buildable as necro that you can build without much tryhard minmaxing and still faceroll 1shot uber lilith and tier 100+ so still not that OP. sorcs on the other hand were very good until this season but for the most of the game they were the meta class
I put everything I had into charged bolts and at 24 levels my dps was topping out at 2 million every once in a while, sigh. Tired of trying to get my sorcs past t70 so I moved to rogue and barbarian.
I was able to craft the charged bolt unique staff lam esen with +11 to charged bolts! (perfect +6 roll as base, than hit +9 with GA and actually 4/12 masterworking and hit skill again so now +11) Together with harle and gloves it should have +19 easy, maybe more if iam lucky enough to hit masterworking 1 more time on cb) but I will not able to use tempering for double Procs. You think the +skills are worth it?
Why do my lightning balls not spin around me even with the aspect? It says they orbit around me with 24 % increase in danage.They stay in place. I am missing something???? ABOUT 10% of the time they revolve around me and 90 % they stay where ever the crit hit as static balls.
as Stated in the details that to make it viable it had to essentially be a BL build with Charged Bolt as an applicator, because CB is just that bad. But yes this is literally a discount Ball Lightning build, I could find no other way to make it viable for a T100 besides forcing BL to carry it
Bro it was painful to play. It’s so fucking terrible. Charged bolts is in a bad spot. I make these builds so that maybe blizzard sees them and buffs the skills. Someone who knows HOW to make these builds needs to showcase how bad they are

i mean look at the gear i had, how long it took me, the lengths to which i went to make it viable. i literally had to just use Ball Lightning damage to carry this thing home. tried pure charged bolts. iit was rough
