I’ve seen a thousand of them running along a hill side while driving on the hwy, sent chills down my back lol, the sound was incredible. I couldn’t get that close
Once in Yellowstone, I walked up a hill to see one of the boiling mud pits, and there was a bison about 30 yards off the path, just people watching, would roll around a bit, then check to make sure he still has an audience. He was out there purposely putting on a show for everyone. I got a lot of good pics of that guy.
@@twilimess I did take pics. My dad was on the trip with me, but due to his medical issues couldn't walk that far up the hill. So I did get some good pics of the playful fluffy bull.
@@amato7459 still hf breed as far i havr seen are less harmful most cows power are in their horrible horns which can badly bruise farmers or even sent him to hospital Cows are extremely different thing from bulls who can attack from anywhere Jersey or any other breed with big horn already look dangerous for small kids HF breeds are more peaceful
I just came to know that this one angel of a man passed away on May 4. My heart was absolutely broken. I have been following this man for quite a long time now. Rest Easy My Friend. God bless your family🙏
I love people like this who understand their mistakes, never blame the animals for doing what comes natural and teaching how to properly handle animals We need more people like this
After all, it was her baby. For a lot of mammals, the most dangerous ones you'll ever meet are the mommas who currently have babies: those are her kids, and she's taking no chances, even if she'd otherwise be chill.
@Allycat101010 I don't mind seeing bears, even out walking or camping, what truly frightens me is when I see a cub... cause I know there will be a pissed off momma close by.... 😅
ironically that is exactly what they mean when they say that though😂 they dont say sometimes you gotta "take the bull by the horns" for no reason, its pretty much the only way to 1v1 a bovine lol
@@JubioHDX I thought it was something more like "Those that seek to save their life will lose it; those that risk their life will save it" kind of deal...
@@JubioHDXtheres a video of a goat winning against a cow in a headbutt because the goat actually has a protective layer in its skull to headbutt things, unlike the bovine, so how about I just hit it on the head?
@@TheBestAlien i mean true humans beat literally any animal on earth when we use our brains and tools, i meant more like its the inly way to barehanded 1v1 a bovine but if you wanna count stuff like that might as well hit them with a small explosive faster than sound bonk out of the end of a pipe (a gun if that wasnt clear) But yea you could just beat them in the head with like a lead pipe too thatd do the trick for most things but take alot longer and probably will mean youll still have to take the first hit from them regardless
At the zoo when they hose them down they all get very excited and as soon as the gate opens they all run out and have zoomies like happy dogs . They are so large the ground shakes .
I bet Ty has been saved a thousand times by being really nice to the animals and letting them know he is their friend. Hand feeding apples to the bison is a good way for the bison to see him as a friend, and not a threat. I bet Jimmy likes it that Ty dances with him, and gives him nice attention.
@@babablacksheep5914 There are never any guarantees, dude. Strangers or not. Wild animals are wild animals. They're not pets. He could just as well have been charged at by the mom even if they weren't strangers. Never underestimate wild animals. Many people have been killed thinking they have some special connection with wild animals that makes them immune to getting attacked out of seemingly nowhere. There are still so many possibilities where the animal might feel threatened. Getting between a mom and her kid is dangerous no matter what.
He basically grabbed the horns which temporarily incapacitates their ability to gore you. It works with most horned animals but the effectiveness is brief 😅
@@out_of_earth2467 He most likely just took advantage of the bison's own strength to push himself out of the way of the horns and get out of the way. There's no directly overpowering these creatures like that, no matter your level of adrenaline.
I would love to raise a herd of bison. The fact you can hand feed a bison tells me you spend a lot of time with them. Very cool glad you didn't get impaled 😅
No you don't. I raise bison, his are babied, most are not. Interactions with them is like playing Russian roulette with 5 bullets in the gun. Even hand raised bison can turn on you.
My wife knew I always wanted a Plains Bison for ever so about 5 years ago she bought one at an auction and had it brought home. Well it was a orphaned bull calf so it took to us right away, we had him made into a steer but this only made him grow bigger ...now he is a ton and a half of overgrown yard dog ! So gentle and cares for all our other animals but is a big baby at heart. When we go away for a couple of days and have our kids do our chores he acts like we have been gone for ever ...if he isn't allowed to sleep up by the house he throws a fit ...the big baby.....but yet no prowler or sneak thief dare come creeping around or they will get the bums rush put on them in a hurry.
These Bisons are iconic and majestic forces of nature. It makes me mad knowing at times, park rangers have to down these animals because some stupid yellowstone tourist decided to go get close to the bison. From what i know, park rangers do this because it will make the bisons no longer fear humans and they'll get close which in turn, makes the situation far more dangerous. The one that really got to me is the story on a park ranger having to put down a baby bison because a tourist touched the calf.
If it was a sick baby that we had to do something with, we have an attachment on the tractor we can lower over the calf safely. That protects us from getting injured!
Thank you for giving people a perspective of just how big a bison bull is next to you. I had one try to put it's head in the window of my Toyota Avalon. I know what it feels like to smell bison breath, face to face! Those are some big boys!!! I can't even comprehend the stupidity of tourons that try to approach them.
@@lalexander7338 these are really big animals, they are not that swift with some experience and a few lasting memories from childhood you could evade a charge aswell
I dont believe he meant i moves him i think he used the bison to push himself out of the way and to be fair with the adrenaline you can toss yourself pretty far considering the bison weighs more then enough for you to do so
This reminds me of a time I accidentally found myself in front of a herd of bisons. I was going to become minced meat but I quickly recognized the severity of the situation and tackled the leader, the biggest bison in the bunch. I grabbed him by the horns, twisted his head to the point where he lost balance, fell over and ended on his back. He realized that there's a new Sheriff in town and he stopped charging me. Seeing that I defeated their leader, the group became discouraged and they gave me free passage through the field. I guess sometimes you just have to show them who's the boss.

You and Mrs Bison had dance steps going on together! Happy to hear you made it through. Bison are some of my favorite animals. I went to a nature preserve in Ft. Worth, Tx. I was driving so slow, looking for the animals. Came upon a baby bison. Parked car. Walked 20 ft. Meet the baby at the fence. He was at fence, i followed him. The mom was 8 or so ft back. She had a funny look on her face, I was talking to both of them, sitting in the grass. The baby kept licking my hands, arms, anything he could get close to. The mom came a little closer, she moved up about 5-6 ft behind baby. I kept telling her to come over to her baby, I wasn’t going anywhere. Before I was ready to leave, mom came a bit closer. Not close enough for me to touch her though. The baby was so precious. I sat there in the grass with barbed wire between us. We were comfortable as we could be. This was my first time being this close to mom and baby bison. I had an absolute ball. The mom had finally acted like she would come closer to us but didn’t. She probably smelled me on her baby’s face. I’m sure I had snot and sweat all over me. We had a great time.
I got charged by a Bison once. He told me that I needed to pay a fee to continue down the road He sad it was Bison Tax and I ended up paying it…..Found out later it was a three human scammers in a Bison suit.

@@iceonthesun8880 no, it’s not slang, it’s wrong. Buffalo are an entirely different animal. It’s not slang people are just stupid. If it was slang people would know that it’s actually a bison and NOT a buffalo.
@@iceonthesun8880 what you said doesn’t make any sense. Buffalo..American buffalo. Ok? What does that mean, are you saying you’re going to start calling bison buffalo just to spite me or something? I’m super ok with that, because you’ll be the person who looks like an idiot. If that’s not what you meant I’m lost. Just saying “American buffalo” with zero context makes no sense.
What’s even crazier is that a bison can way as much as a car, so he literally partied a car with swords on it. This just further proves that we should STOP TRYING TO TAKE SELFIES WITH bison. Sorry, got a little riled up. Be safe out there.
