Being born and raised in Alabama during a shameful period in American history, Charles Barkley has overcome tremendous difficulty in achieving his goals. Even though he was good enough to dominate at Auburn, being 6'5 and broad around "there" Barkley had to work most of his tail off to be A top 50 All Time NBA player. A magnificent rebounder who seemed to always hit a big bucket when necessary and brought a tenacious attitude to every game. After CB retires, he finds his calling. Very few analysts have had the impact in sports media that CB has had. I put Sir Charles up there with Cosell, and Madden. Congratulations on continued success with TNT and The NBA Sir Charles Barkley.
@Chris P Auburn made more money off of him than he made off of them. And, institutional racism didn’t allow his mother or father to get the access whites had. The only people that don’t want to admit that TRUE history are those that benefited from that privilege.
Lets be real here for a second. Love Charles, but he's been saying he'll quit TNT for almost 10 years now😄 So i'm pretty sure he'll manage to 'work' one day a week and couple more days a week in the playoffs for many years to come, i really hope so!
The NBA is the only league that produces characters like Chuck and Shaq. Not a single ex NFL player has you wanting more in fact they are like Romo wishing you were deaf
You are comparing 2 different jobs. Romo a color commentator. Chuck and shaq are studio guys. Romo is better than Mark Jackson and that nerdy former coach.
I like Chuck's take on the whole Draymond-Poole situation. Compare it to Shaq's take where he just basically tried to impose his tough guy act, Chuck addressed it with some actual thought.
Screw 10 more years of Tnt. I'd be tempted to vote for Charles if he ran for office. His level of honesty and integrity is unmatched on television. Such a good dude.
THE BEST power forward to ever play the game. Both Karl Malone and Tim Duncan, were never as versatile in their game as Charles Barkley was. Barkley can simply DO IT ALL, by blocking shots, spot up and shoot the three in your face, steal, pass the ball in transition, lead the break, post up, shoot the fadeaway etc...! And, most people just don't know the fact that he was only 6"4 (he had lied about being 6"6, just so he can play as a power forward) in height, where both Karl Malone and Tim Duncan, were 6"9 and 6"11 respectfully. He simply had NO WEAKNESS in his game!
He deserves all that money because he is the most entertaining Analysis in sports. Erin, Shaq, and Kenny are the best. I can't wait to enjoy the 22-23 season with TNT. " The Boys are Back in Town.......NBA on TNT.
They owe him so much more for having to endure all those Los Angeles Lakers game. It hurts his eyes and heart to watch a disheartened Mr. Westbrook 😔😓💔🏀
None of those young kids have the IQ of Draymond to replace him. He’s still defensive player type. Still the QB of the Offense and Defense. They would not have won without him.
"Does he have flaws in his game" no doubt captain obvious....this is very old news....the fact they Lakers didn't release him tells me they don't care about winning at all.
Hardest working player on offense...not hardest working player...the guy plays for stats and not to win games...Chuck obviously doesn't know Russ's late game blunders.
If Anthony Davis, blah, blah, blah. LeBron is STILL the better player and that’s inexcusable. Davis is one of the biggest underachievers in the league.
@@marcmoellering6619 NBA is international and the number 1 league, in the world, for the vaunted 18-34 age group. So, if you are older than that, then they don’t care about you.
Love Chuck, but if you're a sports analyst making between $100 and $200 million, and you're pronouncing dude's name "KuMONGA," something is desperately wrong in our world.
