Charles you need to use the leg kicks and not throw so so many wild jumping shots. The jumping knee in the Islam fight reminded me of Chael sonnens spinning back fist in the Silva rematch. A flashy shot thrown for no reason that ultimately lead to the finishing sequence. Rooting for Charles but it makes me nervous he refused to rewatch the Islam fight. Rooting so hard for Charles although I love Benny but man, this has me on the ropes a bit. Charles was saying 'I wouldn't change anything, it was his night' after 280 but now he's saying 'that wasn't me'. I'd love to think he was saying 'I wouldn't change anything about the dieting, weight loss, my dedication etc.' as opposed to the game plan or that, now he's realised that wasn't his best showing and there are, for sure (possibly highlighted by 284 with Volk), things he can change.

Given the sunken face with the weight cut I’m curious to see how rocked Charles will be when Dariush lands the left straight down the pipe. That’s his bread and butter. For Charles I think the leg kicks and teeps like the ones he used against DP are the key. I see Benny feinting take down then throwing the straight for a finish.

I've been an Oliveira fan before it was cool. Back when the uninformed masses were ovulating about Tony vs Khabib, I was asking for Oliveira vs Khabib. But I think he might be nearing retirement. Not watching the last fight and saying he wasn't there... He doesn't seem actually hungry, in the way guys are who voraciously learn new tactics and fill holes in their game. Like even Volk does. Olive took 3 months to think about it and still just says he wasn't there. I saw him trying very hard in that fight, a little wild, but Makhachev just stayed focused and got the sub. Olive has had a menu of big strikers, hasn't had to worry about wrestling. I hope to see him win but just not super thrilled with his attitude.

Not knowing and not wanting to know why you lost is not a healthy approach. enter the cave and face the dragon. He is a very emotional person and this sometimes works against him. I think the pressure from the opposing team broke him in Abu Dhabi.
