Yeah i was like you just can't lose with the walkout like that. And i was sad that it wasn't a 5 rounder because it was such a huge fight and then realized that Charles never even went past 3 rounds in his career which is crazy.
Yes my brother the champion has a name, in my humble opinion Charles was one of the most exciting champions we have ever had in this sport, between ups and downs he became a great champion.
@@PedroHenrique-33 Yeah, hes literally the one of the rare few champions who would walk forward and look for the finish 100% of the time. Other champions once they win the belt, start becoming passive and looking for decision wins. Charles has one of the most if not the most electrifying run to the title, and even as champ had an amazing reign. He was fighting several times a year and finishing everyone. I hope he wins gold again. If he knew a bit more English he could become an even bigger star. He has this aura around him and all his fights r incredible.
Sad for Beneil but you can’t deny, Charles really puts people in their place if they aren’t ready for him. There’s levels to the game and Charles is that level
Charles Olivera is seriously one of the goats of our era he has beat the whos who and in a entertaining fashion. He just needs Islam and he has an amazing record.
@@Pochaliban islam beat the “goat” according to you in 2 rounds like an amateur and he beat the #1 p4p king so what does that say about islam? And lets not forget khabib, hes def the lw goat, most dominant and undefeated fighter, he literally mauled his opponents
I completely agree, but can we show respect for the WMMA goat bc we’re never gonna see her again. Imo this makes WMMA 3x as boring now, she was like Rhonda Rousey
That translator is crazy good and Charles is a legend, what a journey this guy go through, unbelievable resume and more important, a kind and humble human being, that's why everyone loves him, great fighter and a good person
@@shable1436 same in America, from I've seen online the UK too, he is truly a superstar one of the biggest names in mma today, if he doesn't get his rematch next and if mcgregor beats Chandler could u imagine how huge a oliveria vs mcgregor fight would be
He gives me those Anderson Silva vibes.. like everywhere he goes people like him, very diverse fanbase.. his very fun to watch, he’s humble, he’s wining, etc… very interesting fighter for sure.
@@rhinerivia1456 Really? Oh man I thought he forfeited after Islam hugged him on the ground cause he just felt Islam's sincerity and kindness. I didn't realize that was actually a stoppage. Thank you for pointing that out
@@filipeventura2729 Você acha que não é poético por que? Pra mim é poético sim. Dialeto lindo, e o jeito que ele coloca as coisas pra mim é muito inspirador.
And people were hyping up Dariush’s power all this time leading up to this fight. I never forgot when Justin said Charles was the hardest puncher in the division.
Charles Oliveira is the current UFC fighter that defeated the most highly rated lightweight fighters man! Let's appreciate him and his insane record in these last 6 years. There were previous ufc lightweight champions that even though had an amazing run/dominance, did not fight half of the competition Charles has. So impressive
man, this charles is unstoppable, the feeling you get watching from the build up all the way through the fight and then the post interviews. amazing. MOST EXCITING FIGHTER IN THE UFC
How can anyone not cheer this man on?!! He really is special!! We love you Charles and we all know the champion has a name and who's name that is. That's all you Charles, Charles Do'Bronx Olivera
Warms my heart knowing how his featherweight run and how up and down it was and now to see him build a crazy resume in lightweight and now being almost universally loved is something special
He’s for sure been becoming one of my favorites fighters to watch over the last few years! Learning English will help him so much not only in the ufc but outside the ufc as well.
Finally people start saying it again and agree with me. I have said this since 280 when everyone switched up on the Oliv-ERA. Fuck the losses, better to fight true fighters and risk losing than pad your record like Khabib, who Oliveira has now fought more world class killers than.
English speaking Charles adds an entirely new dimension to the fighter. People love him as is-but now his reach will be limitless. A true gem for the ufc
It's so nice how, after twice going into enemy territory, the opponent's territory, getting all the boos, the weight scale robbery, losing to Islam in Abu, that he got all the cheers and put on a show this time.
Islam said Charles doesn't wanna fight him and I thought Islam was being ridiculous but after this interview I can tell Charles doesn't really wanna fight Islam
I jumped out of my seat when he got the finish. My palms were sweaty and my heart rate was up up top, i was concerned. I really didnt want him to lose. It sucks because if it was anyone else i would be rooting for beneil 😮
What a good guy Do Bronx it is!Humble , respectful and a good example for next generation ❤ .From this kind of warrior you can learn allot from this life.I am curious if somebody hate s him,if this people's exist just put side by side ,Khamzat,Islam and others ,and you can really see how special this man it is!
He is. His resume is already way, way better than Khabibs and Islams. Those numbers and names are insane. And the way he finishes all dudes. Even if he loses to Islam again, it wont matter.
Que história de superação esse cara tem, sou um eterno fã, e ainda mais agora aprendendo Inglês... isso mostra que nunca é tarde para começar algo novo. Deus te abençoe meu amigo oss
Don't take the rematch in Abu Dhabi man, take it at a neutral venue or in Brazil. Oliveira always feeds off the crowd energy. He needs to have the crowd behind him in the rematch.
Very proud of you Charles, besides being a legend of this sport you are an excellent person a great human being, your name is marked in the history of this sport, I will be cheering for you, you will regain your champion belt, your work ethic represents all martial artists.
I have a lot of respect for all these fighters no matter who they are and which cntry they belong to. Beniel is still a great person and a very good fighter even though he lost like this. Charles has a great heart and probably will be the greatest of all time when he retires. I hope they stay humble no matter what they achieve ❤
DC is right, he shouldn't be relying too much on his back game. Actually Oliveira's top control is so dangerous. Remember those elbows he lowered on Dustin. Plus having Oliveira on top of you is an emergency in your nervous system.
DC was thinking as a Wrestler. But Charles is a BJJ. Being on the back don't matter, if you see closely, he was being much more dangerous on that position than Dariush.
@@RicardoMango Problem is that MMA judging does not favor being on your back. Listen to the commentary after Charles got back up. They thought he had lost the 1st round and had to push to steal the round despite Charles landing more shots off his back and deflecting almost all of Dariush's shots.
@@youtube-nutzer2895 control time does mean something because the judges rarely ever abide by "damage trumps all." I completely agree that Charles was doing more damage, but the judges often see things differently when they see a fighter on his back. Can't wait for Islam Vs Charles
@@youtube-nutzer2895 Dariush didn't just control Charles, genius. He was actively trying to land punches from top the entire time, which in the judge's eyes looks better than Charles trying to react and fight back. Even the announcers thought Dariush was winning the ground battle and they know the rules better than anyone which shows how skewed perception can get when someone's on top throwing missed/deflected punches.
For me, I don’t care what country a guy represents, I’m English and I fuckin love watching this guy win! I’d be gunning for him even if he fought Leon edwards.
He needs to learn more English now, which will only make him a global superstar. And Oliveira should get the next title shot or Arman if he wins next week because he deserves it as well. The Gamrot loss was lame by the judges, he should have won that fight because they didn't score a knockdown for him in round 4 if I remember it correctly...
@@alcottdevalte7440 Fighters don't have as much cherrypicking freedom as you guys seem to think. Plus Charles already wiped out the whole top 5, there's no way he should be fighting anyone but the champ next.
@@nobodyharder6575 The fighters can avoid matchups just like how Chandler, Dustin and Gaethje has avoided Dariush, Arman, Gamrot and others. Oliveira deserve a rematch against Islam because of his long winning streak and now beating Dariush, but the UFC also favors fighters like Conor, Chandler, Dustin and Gaethje who always gets the biggest fights and avoid most new contenders.
@@alcottdevalte7440 I doubt fighters were avoiding Beneil, he just can't sell so it's more likely the UFC themselves kept him out of their main plans until they had no other option. And Arman simply hasn't earned his spot yet. He beat a couple nobodies till he got himself a top 10 fight and lost, so he fought number 11 next. I don't see what's wrong with it.
