Charles Xavier vs Magneto / X-Men (2000) 

Yeah. When sabertooth says "That's enough Eric." I pictured those were Xavier's words. He calls Magneto by his first name all the time right? Also when toad passively says "let them go" we can assume it wasn't the real toad's words. His voice tone was higher, a more passive/humble perhaps.

back then Charles said that he could not read Magneto's mind, because he figured out how to block his telepathy (no word about helmet)

Unfortunately, Im willing to bet Magneto passively locks the helmet to his head, So that it cant be easily removed.

@@Yerassyl1991 he literally points to his helmet when makes the comment of not being able to read his mind. That being said Xavier also could have mind controlled mystique to just fly them somewhere without collateral damage. Xavier in this sort of movie is a bit too powerful to function as a protagonist.

Could have made Toad bring Rougue to him too. But then he would just shoot the cops

If you watch the video Toad starts to move away while holding Rogue because Xavier is controlling him so Magneto fires the gun stops the bullet and then says to Charles “Fine. Care to press your luck Charles? I don’t think I can stop them all.

@@KaosNova2 I don't think he toyed. Magneto is complete character. He doesn't want just to kill random officer. He wants survival of his kind, he wants power, and he wants to let or speed up evolution to do its work. What he done is not just soulless murder intention, but demonstration of his power over regular humans, and also mentally over Xavier

@@darkpartizan Of course Magneto doesn’t randomly murder people. That much is pretty evident in the X-Men series. He generally kills soldiers, people attacking him, leaders of his enemies, or in the comics he does kill people that remind him of his brutal Nazi SS captors during the Holocaust (Sebastian Shaw)

I mean, they are bringing back Ryan Renolds as Deadpool with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, in an R-Rated movie, so maybe it is worth giving it a chance, after all Fox was a lot worse of a shit show. Also Hulk hasn't even had his story completed yet, he is a hard character to develop because Marvel doesn't own solo movie rights for Hulk so they can't make movies where he is the lead, that is why they had to use the She-Hulk TV show loophole to get Hulk villains and characters into the MCU. Thor, well he hasn't turned out so bad, sure the first couple movies ranged between decent to shit, but then we got Ragnarok which was a great movie, and he was a beast in infinity war, then he had a realistic depression arc in Endgame as anyone would if they lost everyone in life and couldn't even get proper revenge, lastly Love and Thunder wasn't the best in its execution but Thor being a father and becoming even more powerful is probably a good thing going forwards. Heroes aren't interesting if they don't have character development over their lifetimes on the big and small screen, Thor can't just start out perfect, he needs to grow and learn just like any human.

Most likely what would happen is that all the guns would drop to the ground because Magneto is no longer controlling them. This would give the cops the opportunity to pick them up and most likely start firing on Magneto, Sabretooth and Toad. With Magneto under Xavier’s control he wouldn’t be able to stop them. Xavier or Jean could but would they react in time?

why cops start aiming to flying cars, instead of put Magneto down? He is powerful, but not some sort of Neo, who can stop that gun power

He could just make Sabertooth bop Eric on the head and knock him out, then take it off. A very simple solution, especially if he took Eric by surprise like he did here.

Freeze is not the reasonable reaction in this instance of facing a threat. You need more practice in pattern recognition that is outside of comic books and video games.

Scientifically eric would induce magnetic flux into the copper to produce electric current that would inturn produce magnetic field turning that copper into a magnet that magneto can easily control.

@@lochness5524 exactly. What about Scott and Emma Frost? Scott and Emma are teenagers in the 1989s in X-men origins: Wolverine. But Emma Frost is a full grown woman in the 1960s in X-men first class and Scott is a little 11 year old child (scene in particular is Charles using cerebro for the first time and seeing a young cyclops playing with a ball with his baseball mit. I can’t take these movies seriously if these idiots are going to make these continuity errors.

I think her power was more a manipulation of will than of mind, not to mention two other things, one, hers might be less effective against someone who knows what to expect, and two, charles is definitely more powerful than her, but ultimately, i’m not completely sure

X-men 2 has the answer to that. It was a plastic prison within a Faraday Cage which contained all his magnetic powers the Faraday Cage absorbing any magnetic field he produced and the plastic being non-metallic. A Faraday Cage will contain magnetism since the magnetism cancels out within it.

I have a feeling a guy who is basically a living magnet does not need plot armor to keep a metal helmet very firmly attached to his head.

@@grantalbrecht4577 Eric is not an ever working super magnet. He needs intent and concentration to use a decent amount of power. Charles could use sabertooh to hold him with one hand and punch him in the face(or the stomach, Magneto is not physically resillient) to disrupt his focus and immediately take the helmet off.

@@celinreyes1983 Well sure but keeping his helmet on his head isn’t exactly a lifting the Golden Gate Bridge type feat. Eric is pretty OP with anything metal when he wants to be and does not seem to need much time for small feats. Sabertooth is strong and fast, but he’s not that powerful all things considered. Assuming he doesn’t wrap at least a low level magnetic field around the helmet as a precaution whenever he goes into a dangerous situation, which I would, all he’s going to need is a split second to protect the helmet and/or pull all those triggers. I’d consider that a pretty big gamble for Charles to assume he can incapacitate him 100 percent in that maybe second or two you have, he’d be gambling with all those men’s lives. Certainly not what I would consider a plot hole but ymmv I guess.

@@grantalbrecht4577 an average human punch only takes .33 seconds. Sabertooh's probably would take .1sec or less. No way Magneto would be able to avoid an attack at point blank. But if Magneto use a magnetic shield around his body and his helmet, I believe you are absolutely right, Magneto not only would hold his helmet but use any metal around to counter any attack, like metal inside sabertooh's clothing, since he is incredibly sensitive to metal. And honestly, Magneto definitely would use that magnetic field when there was a high probability of attack. Magneto is one of the main characters after all and unlike I thought earlier, he has no need for plot armor😅

Magneto has moved way, way bigger things and would keep the helmet attached the instant he felt someone trying to move it. And attacking him while he’s holding a bunch of dudes at gunpoint is just a recipe for disaster
