@CalerieValcin1981 I'm not going to engage in name calling. I believe we can be great. We did it during the 40s, 50s, and 60s. We can for sure do it today, but it takes effort. I define those times as a worse government "control" than anything today. However, it takes effort to be in your children's life, to be committed to your wife or husband, and to create and hold assets for your children. Every generation has to make a decision on what they want in life. I see successful black people everyday but they are determined men and women. Our culture is holding back our success because our value system isn't conducive to success. In the past it was but today it isn't. However, we determine what we want to be in this world. Do we want to drink lean, sag our pants, engage in a gang, twerk in the club, be reckless with money, carry extended clips, go back and forth with "opps" or do we want to focus on family, business, education and community. We can't do both. One leads to destruction and the other leads to success.

Our destruction has been a result of our values changing as a community. You can do a direct comparison between the values we used to have vs the ones many of our people have today. It's a night and day contrast.
