I can only imagine what Charly would sound like if someone were drunk or high. Being from the states, I've never seen Charly until now, but I can see this being on Robot Chicken before long!
Me too. I had (still have!) a terrible fear of drowning and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with this cat. I also agree that they shouldn't've fished him out; he was obviously trying to end it all, judging from the deliberate way he jumped in - and I think that his wishes should've been respected!!
I like charley and the kid at the begining of the vid. They both look so down. Charley looks like he doesn't think much of the dads fishing. Also, after clicking on the play button, keep pressing 2, to see the kid dance a jig while Charley laughs.
Charley: "Morrowgh mewhu chuMorooow" Translation: Hey! I found the Biggest puddle ever! ^^ Splooosh. The Kid; NO DAD! Don't pull him out! He'll ruin my life! I'll get married and he'll be sitting inbetween us on the night of our wedding warning us to tell our mothers about what were just planning to do.
So theres the kids dad, he must only make these fishing trips and working all the time. Its ok though the kids mum has the milkman to keep her company.
They should have left the cat for dead back then, when they still had a chance. And maybe the little boy wouldn't have had to die such a mysterious, horrible death some years later..and what did his entrails spelling out the words " He who laughs Last" supposed to mean??
I reckon the boy`s name is Chuck. And the reason why is the makers of this were Beatles lovers, and in another episode appear Vera & Dave appear. In the Beatles song When I`m 64, there is the line "Vera, Chuck and Dave" Probably totally wrong!
Cos I think the youth oftoday would question people allowing a tiger to play puddle jump with young children or with midgets; and don't question that charlie is not a tiger. LOOK HOW BIG HE IS!?!?
Good news, especially with the tension that seems to be within Dominic's family present in other episodes. (The house always appears in darkness, a largely absent father, and the mother and milkman.)
Charley says "Next time we go fishing, we should stay very close to Dad" should be: CHarley says: "Next time we decide to mess around splashing in the puddles, make sure you are not next to a river"
Thank God we have Charley to supervise the youth of today, or we would all surely perish. Better advice kids; Suggest your parents invest in teaching you how to swim. .M
Nah, Charlie is actually slang for cocaine (which makes sense, since he only hallucinates the cat). See, the government DID create the yuppies of the late 80's.
The boy always looks depressed, any wonder with that stupid cat telling him not to do this, and that. And when the cat talks he looks like he's having a seisure!
Charlie says he's going to phone child line and report daddy for fishing without a licence.Daddy says next time they all go fishing he's taking a bin bag
