You need to listen to 'Lightning' again, it is one of the best and it is the more Charli experimental vibe. I love 'Move Me' one of my favs too. I was a little bit scared with this album because i'm a huge fan but i ended satisfied lol P.s.: We need to see your balls with the Manscaped cut lol

Idk about this one😫 I know this is Charli's last album with her current label and you can tell that she's trying to deliver bops but she's just trying to move on with another label or as an independent artists. This album is definitely inspired by 90's-early 00's music but it sounds kinda uninspired too. I remember she tweeted begging people to stream tf out of Beg For You so that she and Rina can make more experimental music together but I'm like???? Why didn't we get that in this album???? Lightning kinda has a hyperpop sound so another more experimental song would of rounded that out. It's so short, it kinda has filler album vibes before we get something great again like the mixtapes, Charli or HIFN 😭😭 Edit: I think it's a good album, right up there with True Romance imo. Charli doesn't make bad music, this just doesn't hit as hard for me on my initial listens 🙌🙌

It’s a cute pop album but very underwhelming coming from Charli, definitely not her best piece of work. The more radio oriented production felt flat and monotone. The 80s pop tracks felt very Janet Jackson, the funky ones sounded more like Doja Cat songs… in other words, everything felt already heard before. Yes, it’s a coherent album but just because there’s not very much to dig from, all songs were safe choices. Nothing new. I understand her intentions with this album, however the execution wasn’t that polished. Good Ones is easily one of the worst songs Charli has ever released and I’m very impressed with it’s comercial success (just like it happened with Boom Clap, another disgustingly bad song) This album could’ve been released by literally any other generic pop artist and it wouldn’t have sounded any different, something that’s actually worrying for Charli XCX, whom has been changing the pop scene for years now. Her trajectory definitely had a crash. My highlights are: Lightning, Crash and Beg For You.
