CHARLI XCX - CRASH (ALBUM REACTION) 

This feels like a definitive mix of pop Charli and experimental Charli. It feels very slick and modern, it’s not my favourite in her discography yet but time will tell!

twice low-key sounds like it’s dedicated to Sophie “up on the hill I see it all and die happy thinking bout my best friends” also the album is dedicated to sophie

honestly, crash is like a mental breakdown of a main pop sellout girlie, spiralling, with glimpses of hope and ending with a crash of a moral system and a conclusion

Honestly surprised by this album! Apart from Good Ones (which is chefs kiss), I wasn’t blown away by the other singles so didn’t have high expectations going in but after a few listens I think this is my favourite Charli project - many of the non-Single tracks are some of my favourite. My theory about the album is actually inspired by your thoughts. The bikini on a car bonnet is such a cliche (like mainstream pop) but she’s taken it and made it her own. Favourites are: Good Ones, Used to know me, constant repeat - I will say Baby has grown on me a lot.

Love this album, might be my favorite from her ....... (and that's quite an unpopular opinion, I KNOW) Kinda hard to pick favorites... The "show me love" part got me laughing so hard, you are the best girls !!!! heyyyy ladies :-) top 3: lightning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! constant repeat new shapes / crash (cannot choose!!!!) i totally see where jessie is coming from when she says the visual of the album art doesn't quite match the sonic content. honestly, i was just as confused in a away. in my eyes, charli can do no wrong. but the pop-tastic, dreamscape, love-heavy air she creates in crash (mixed in with many themes of self-destruction and self-doubt), almost completely juxtapose the actual tracklisting. do NOT get me wrong, i still love crash! for an ironic (in a way), sell-out, main pop girlie era, she really delivered, and it really proves that if she ever wanted to be a radio starlet, she could. But the dark, anti-hero gory details of all of the crash promo and lead-up feel a bit dis-juncted from what was presented to us as a full prokect. but maybe thats the point????? idk LOL this is still easily one of my favorite charli projects and i cannot wait for the deluxe that is dropping soon!

Beg For You and Baby were growers on me! I was scared to listen to the album when I first heard each of them. I’m so happy with this album and I hope each of you enjoy it as much as I do now! Lightning is also my favorite!

Plz do go on a JANET tour! She is so underrated outside US back in the days and the superbowl incident unfortunately tarnished her art so bad. But she is so talented and she totally built her image/brand outside her surname. I strongly recommend all her albums from Control to All for you! They are all so goooooood, especially Control, Rhythm Nation 1814 and Velvet Rope. Her unique style of using skits to connect the entire Album into a concept and her exploration themes like social issues and Sex is so pioneer for a black woman back in 90s!

You guys are not ready for Lightningg!!! Also. If you wanna get into Janet, I would recommend her albums, Control, 20 yo, and Discipline

been waiting for this video 🤠🤠🤠 crash is very cohesive and easy to listen to. maybe it's charli's sellout era but she's done it well 🥵🩸 there's so many catchy hooks on the album. current dynamic trio is def lighting, yuck and move me; she ate and left no crumbs.

I do hope you listen to the Delux tracks, they really are amazing songs!
