Great lesson Frank , cheers ! Always wanted to jam with you 👍 Say hi to Jimmy B. Love your playing. Learning these pieces of jazz ‘language’ is the way.. thanks from 🇦🇺
Thanks so much for posting these lessons, Frank! You're one of the all-time greats and you teach these ideas so clearly that I refer my students to you all the time.
Excellent idea to make an instructional video about Charlie Christian's music. It was the mother milk that nourished my guitar playing while I was learning it. Every jazz guitar student should study his solo's.
What a great teacher! You turn the simple, understandable things into a rich and fertile field to play in and explore. Great can't describe what you are as a musician.
Gracias Frank por tu generosidad . Eres un gran músico y guitarrista pero además sabes transmitir con sencillez tus grandes conocimientos.Aprecio mucho tus videos y disfruto mucho con tus colaboraciones con otros grandes colegas
As great a player as you are, l think you're an even better teacher. I can't stand to watch most people that claim to be teachers; but I could watch your lessons all day long. Thanks for being you 👉🌟
Frank, I'd love a Truefire course on Charlie's style, Just an analysis of what he's doing on "Stompin at the Savoy" and "Swing to Bop" from the Minton recordings would be great. And, I believe, a big seller.
Great playing and teaching here. It’s a joy to play along. Thank you for these practice sessions. A while ago I came across an interview with you for Jazz Guitar Today where you mentioned a workshop in France in 2023. Does this still take place ? I’m from Luxemburg and am very interested in participating. Cheers and thanks again
I can follow the beginning but get lost when you start expanding the basic riff. I’m not sure what notes you’re playing although I try to match them by ear. You don’t name them in the video. Does your course include pdfs with the notes? I’ll need them no as a check upon my ear.
