I was in the UK and the people I spoke with did not like socialist medicine. Why? Because they couldn’t get their teenage son into a Dr when he was sick with strep throat so they said they had to see the expensive Dr! So much for socialist medicine.
You often hear people say we should copy Canada. Bad idea! Canadians often come to the US for treatment because it can take years to get treatment. My son attended university in Montreal and could not get treatment for his tonsillitis because it was low on the scale of illnesses needing treatment. He cam back from Canada, saw a doctor in two days, was immediately scheduled for surgery and had his tonsils removed in less than a week after returning to the US. The US system isn't perfect, but it is still the best in the world.
In America tho there’s ways around stuff thier is an app called good RX my prescription is $600 i pay $5 a month for the app and my medication goes down to $60 and thats 3 full bottles of medication
@@lochnessmunster1189 More accurately, it's what the insurance company and government agency is willing to pay. The average American has zero influence on drug prices. The drug company has to make their money somewhere. They seem to make most of it in the US, allowing them to settle for more modest profits elsewhere.
@@DAVID-io9nj This is mainly true, but how will a government agency know how much to negotiate, in payment? If they force workers to pay for it through taxation, the drug companies will be able to charge higher prices.
Actually Commonism not Communisim, Socialist, Marxist, Capitalism or any other ist or ism, Commonism is God's perfect economy! We see it displayed in Acts 4:32-37. Acts 4:32 says this: And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to all of them. Acts 4 :32.
Well, it IS high-tech surgery. Many providers will finance it. If you can't even afford that, you can keep on buying corrective eyeglasses at $50 a pair.
@@ryennery6857you missed the entire point. It’s declining. It might be 500 for both in 5 more years. It’s a major surgery. How many people could get their eyes fixed 200 or even just 100 years ago?
