Anyway, billionaires become billionaires by buying into or starting a business (or businesses) that are worth little of m=nothing, and then growing them until the stocks rise to over a billion in value. College degrees have no value in doing that. Personal drive and the willingness to take risks and work 100 hours a week is what does that.

I think it depends on your degree. For example, I know several computer programmers who knew 85% of the content before college but needed the degree. I also have friends trying to become respiratory therapists that definitely need to learn stuff before trying to open someone's throat.
The vast majority of what girls study in college is a scam, and worse it gives them a divisive, hateful world view that is neither good for them nor anyone they interact with.
I was offered a funded PHD by a top college but don’t have a degree. Plenty of us autodidact folks out there who are much more educated than college students. In my experience, some of the most knowledgeable people around because they learn from passion.

he’s right. i’m a doctor now. but i went to college majored in pre med biology, minor in psych and chemistry. got out couldn’t find ANY job IN NYC. worked my ass off and took the mcats and got lucky to be accepted in a med school. i got NOthing from college except parties ect. i was so disgusted by the fact i couldn’t get a decent job after college. (close to nothing i studied in college helped me pass my mcats).
I don't agree. College is not a scam. It's not the colleges fault if YOU decide to agree to the multiple classes they require then get mad about it. Personal responsibility and free markets right? If I offer a service, I tell you what it is up front, and you voluntarily choose it, that's not a scam. A scam is when I say you'll get something you don't. It's not like the college is lying.. you know when you sign up and pick your classes that you have to pick multiple classes. Many degrees ARE required for certain things, and even if they're not, you can't deny that going to college for STEM fields is necessary much of the time or at least beneficial. Now you can say many classes aren't STEM fields and are therefore unnecessary, but that's not the colleges fault. It's supply and demand. The other classes wouldn't exist if people didn't want them. The college is just supplying what's needed to fulfill a demand. Not just that, but some people go to college for multiple reasons, not just for academics but for fun. They go for the experience, to meet people, to date, to socialize and learn how to do so. There's a million reasons to go to college, and yes a million reasons why some people should NOT go to college, but it's not the colleges fault if you don't pay attention to what you're doing and make the right choice. Not the colleges fault if you don't pay attention and graduate. People are responsible for their own decisions.
Basically blaming the college for you not graduating or getting a job is like blaming white supremacy for the same thing. People don't realize that 30yrs ago a Embossed Paper meant something and you could then AND still Test out of shit and learn it on your own. You don't NEED to be TAUGHT to pass a test. Today the paper don't mean shit and you can learn and pass tests in your bed
Wow, I know the kid in Debate 4 with the sunglasses and hat didn’t seem that bright at first. But in my opinion, he and Charlie had one of the greatest discussions I’ve heard take place from our young generation. So interesting and eye opening. We need to see more discussions like that

I would say this is what happens when we have an agenda to demonstrate education = bad because we don't want the public to believe climate change is real, so we cherry-pick interviews with our professional oil-funded speaker with kids instead of people in the industries. This is a long-game strategy. Oil execs have admitted to doing this. I work with plenty of kids this age and most are not like this. Processing it how it is presented is being taught what to think, not how to think.
FACTS! I have a bachelors degree in healthcare administration I got 8 years ago and never worked in that department and I can’t use the degree because i have to be a nurse to be hired in that field or have a masters. All because a COLLEGE COUNSELOR told me that it was a good job path. Now I’m a SAHM mom and love it more than anything else 😂
Legal immigrant here. Indians are by far the highest paid ethic group in the USA. They make 250% of what whites make. Look it up. Nigerian Americans have more phd’s per capita than any other ethnicity. I’m brown skinned. I’ve never experienced police brutality. In fact, almost every time I’ve been pulled over in the last 10-15 years, I got a warning. I have lived in Texas for 40 years. Sure I’ve had some people make rude statements to me. In my experience, after visiting around two dozen nations, America is the least racist nation in the world. Even Western Europe doesn’t compare.
Had a lady at Costco a couple years ago tell my mom to speak English while my dad and her were speaking Spanish. My dad responded with “How about you shut the fuck up! Is that enough English for you?” Apparently after that a group of 20 or so people grouped behind my dad and defended my parents against this old lady. Costco offered to kick her out. How I like to look at it is if it were a true racist America, no one would defend my parents and back the lady instead. But instead the MAJORITY backed my family. These people need to understand that there will always be bad apples, but over the majority it really doesn’t exist and labeling what happens occasionally as all of America is racist is just wrong and divides us more than it should. I work at a manufacturing company, metal stamping company, I am in maintenance department. Which I’ve done for 30 years. Half of our press operators/ take a part after it made put it in a box. Have a college degree. Making 20 bucks an hour. I make almost 40. Not being petty, but modern society, is lied to about needing to go to college. College is important for my doctor, The engineers, the accountants. But not for meaningless careers!!! Get to work, kids!!!

im retired navy working as a contractor for the military as a helicopter mechanic. i make around $90k a year with a high school education. i bet that second kid has no idea how to change the oil in his car, or how to replace an alternator or starter. just because you can read a book and do calculus doesn't make you smart.
My husband is successful without a degree. He read the books and learned things. Self taught. Our children that have chosen college aren't making as much as the ones who didn't. They are in debt from loans. 🥴

One of the first things that I realized after getting two college degrees was that all they did was prepare me to actually learn how to do a job in the real world. 90% of what I learned with respect to every job I held was on the job training. My employers were gracious enough to put up with my ignorance till I learned their system. Even among the same disciplines I still had to learn how to operate effectively within the system that was in place. Young people today are not even smart enough to know that they know nothing. That is why companies are turning to the trade schools and Jr Colleges for employees.
That first guy will learn nothing because he wants to insult and be right but he won't listen to differing opinions with cited stats and documentation. Too many kids like this thinking going to college means you are taught well and that you learned something…that you're smart.

Auto-like for TPUSA! I retired from HVAC/ELECTRICAL Contracting in 2017…got started in a trade school. I got my licenses to sell all types of insurance that year. I was flown to Chicago through the Chubb Group for sales school. Returned home and the office I worked out of had 35 people in it. The best performers? Recent college grads, 10-12 in the office, who had to hustle to pay down their debt and still live because they couldn’t find a job in their chosen degrees. Some of these young’uns talking to Charlie sound like Kamala with the worn out talking points and wordy word salads. 🙏 that their eyes will be opened and burdened down with debt and 🙏 for Charlie and TPUSA! ❤️💯❤️
I was a highschool dropout and more knowledge of modern society/science and recent history within the last two centuries. The best graduates were pretty people who went into real estate and or arts. The most successful are the married, the dropouts who went to trade school. From who I still see. College for them was still partly intact 2015. I ended up going to college in 2017 for a year and to qualify I had to write an essay and a basic knowledge exam so they could judge my intellect. wrote a 5000 word essay… on the importance of a pencil in 4 hours… on a computer on campus. They were glad to have me. After one semester it was clear to see what a waste of time it was. I got into a trade and made more and have done more than my college peers who are still in the same place and different but the same jobs. Non of which they studied in college. The only ones who make it out okay are from family wealth or genetically gifted (because let’s be honest) and or truly the most academically focused on something they love 100% . The majority are left in debt and some settled, some got some project and unfortunately some die from drug use and poverty. Follow your heart but do it with a proper grasp of reality. Be brave, take chances but don’t risk it for something you don’t believe in.

They always bring up the example of doctors, lawyers and engineers. It is required by state and federeal licensing boards to have a college degree to be a doctor, lawyer or accountant. Only reason they have college degrees. It is required.

Academia does not make you worth anything in the job market unless it benefits others. I have a Bachelor degree 📜 with honors hanging on the wall which was not necessary for my 90 K per year career. After watching part of this video I was reminded of the quote from Mark Twain: "It is easier to fool a person than to convince him that he has been fooled." These college students have been fooled and will pay for it the rest of their lives and they are trying very, very hard to convince themselves that the time and money they spend in college is worth it. As a person with a degree and 20 years experience, I always feel so validated when I can do my craft better than students in the same degree plan I went through. Harper JC grad and ASU grad. I still say that college is a waste of funds unless you actually need the degree as in being an engineer or doctor. A college degree does not equate to intelligence.
I was proud that my son had gone to college but now he acts like these arrogant kids... doesn't even really talk to me anymore. We don't live together but he never contactse and ignores anything I try to do. Only time he talked to me was at Thanksgiving.
Kids spend more time in school than with the family. School wants to change the kids mind about life. Parents should have the right to decide which classes their kids take.
In high school my best friends brother had trouble passing his classes and never went to college. He “failed” according to modern society. But he decided to apply for a job that normally would require a very high college degree. He now makes 6 figures and loves his job.
The only time having a college degree is worth its weight is when an employer requires it to be hired for a position. THIS IS COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE. I personally know people that can do their job wonderfully and even better than people with degrees yet they are having to work for people with the degree who have no skills and no skills in the degree that they sought.
If you took 100 random trade school or military tech school trained students and compared them to 100 random college educated students the military/trade school students will out perform the college students.
