Dude, I remember being maybe 20 when this came out, living in white ass, much less glamorous than Studio 54, Maine, and watching this high with my friends when it debuted. This skit had us fighting for air we were laughing so hard and always astonished at the brilliant, hilarious creativity of Dave Chappelle.

I love how Charlie makes a point to "elevate" his brother. Even after Eddie had become the hugest star in the world, here's his big brother, letting you know that Eddie is "a lot more compassionate," or that Eddie didn't fuck around with the party scene. And then it makes me just so fuckin SAD, because Charlie's not around anymore to be his little brother's biggest supporter. There's another true Hollywood Story from Charlie Murphy regarding a guy (whose name I will not reveal, but you can read Charlie's lips when he's telling the story) who got shit-faced drunk and forced his way into Eddie's home late one night. There's another story about Charlie and his crew lining up for hot dogs/franks outside of a club. And I don't know why we never see it, but there's a portion of Charlie's Rick James stories where he's hanging out at Rick's house all weekend, everyone's partying non-stop, and Rick got on the house intercom to announce that none of the women there were to have sex with Charlie Murphy, and they would be fired if they did. OH! And there was a story about Charlie and Eddie and Uncle Ray and the whole gang going out to a restaurant, and Darryl Stingley was there, and he started talking some shit. So Charlie had to go over there and straighten him out. I haven't seen THAT story since it aired.

Random trivia. Back in the early to mid 1960s in Toronto, Canada, there was a band called The Mynah Birds. The original bassist and keyboardist left and formed the band Steppenwolf whose song "Born to be Wild" coined the term Heavy Metal. The Mynah Birds got signed to MOTOWN but just before recording their album, the guitarist quit. New bassist Bruce Palmer found a player named Neil Young. As they were finishing the album, it was discovered that singer Ricky James Matthews was AWOL from the US Navy and got arrested and deported back to the US. MOTOWN dropped the band and only released few songs to RU-vid a few years ago. Bruce and Neil Young packed their equipment into Neil's old hearse and drove to Los Angeles looking to find a musician named Stephen Stills. They founded the band Buffalo Springfield and and had success before breaking up and forming a bunch of big bands including Crosby Stols and Nash (and sometimes CSN&Young. Eventually Ricky was released, rejoined MOTOWN initially as a songwriter and later a star once her changed his name to Rick James.

You should definitely do the Prince one, but my all time favorite Chappelle Show bit is "I Know Black People." They brought some non-actors into the studio to tape a game show sketch and they were going to add jokes to it afterward, but Dave Chappelle decided that what they had shot with the regular people was already so funny that they didn't need to add anything.
