why does he continue to play if he's bored?

@@danip2476 I am not him so I cannot speak in his place but if I had to make a plausible guess it would be: Harry Potter is both an enjoyable game for many individuals and is derived from a popular franchise. Therefore it is an extremely popular game. Playing a game that is popular and enjoyed by many both brings new viewers to his content and retains current viewers of his content. Both bringing in new viewers and retaining current viewers is important to his income stream. The value a game has on his income stream takes precedence over the value of enjoyment it brings him when choosing whether or not to play a game. Therefore he chooses to continue to play the game.

People are going to find something wrong with everything. If it isn’t a soulsborne game people will search every inch of the game to find something that isn’t perfect

To be fair, it does leave a bit to be desired. I don't think it's absolutely awful, but it does feel stiff at some points, and the voice acting itself isn't always great. It's not so bad that it's a serious problem imo, but it could definitely use some work.

its pretty gosh darn awful and since dialogue is a huge part of the game it does become frustrating.

I find it fine EXCEPT the professor Fig. He is obnoxious with how he turns everything you said into a question back.

I don’t blame him tbh. Based on all the gameplay I’ve seen, it doesn’t look that interesting. Not saying it’s a bad game or anything, just seems like a game I would be bored with rather quickly

@@Xbitxx eh Charlie has a terrible opinion on most games, anything high rated or kinda mainstream is automatically boring to him. All he really seems to enjoy is speed running crap and Dark Souls type games.

@@Borgborg128 I agree with a ton of Charlie’s takes. He rated persona 5 really high so that blows your statement out of the water as it’s a 100 JRPG. Everyone has their own opinions and if you don’t agree with his then don’t use him for a reference. I personally enjoy most of the games he rated high so I do.

A lot don't seem to realize that he usually streams this game before he gets off for the night. He streams kinda late so he is already pretty tired when he starts streaming the game. And again, he said that he's not a big Harry Potter fan so that's why he isn't that into it. It's a good open world game and an even better Harry Potter game

I completely agree OneyPlays usually hates on games but they've been loving it in their playthrough.

i like the game and i wouldn't call it fantastic. the gameplay is awesome but a lot of stuff kinda sucks. like the beginning is super long and drawn out which makes doing multiple play troughs hell even if the game encourages you doing many since there's achievements for each house and multiple character slots with each their own save slots too. not to mention the dialogue and voice acting feels very bad and fake almost like we're listening to an audio book instead of hearing people have an actual human interaction. charlie has been a bit more bored than he prolly should have been with this game in my opinion but maybe that's not his cup of tea and that's alright. the game is far from perfect. also, it's not a bad game in my opinion but it has a lot of flaws that hold it back and should not be overlooked if we're looking for a potential sequel that is going to be even better. cause if everybody says "yes we like this and there is 0 flaws" (which is always a lie) then they're just gonna give us an overpriced dlc and i think nobody really wants that.

You can't take stuff out from the RoR I think but for all I know that was something made up in a fanfic I read years ago

There's many British people who sound like other British people. But the two characters in question are both main characters in parallel narratives taking place in the same universe. Soft spoken, mild-mannered delivery, similar tone and inflection on words, etc. I'm sure if you played comparative dialogue of the two characters and listened hard enough, you could discern the differences. But at least on a surface level, their voices are very similar.

Seriously though.. I don’t remember more than the first movie and only read the first couple books when I was younger. I never stayed into it but seeing some stuff about this it seemed like something cool and different anyways and this was the first place I came to watch a serious play through kinda look at it and it made the game seem to suck honestly I had to find some other videos. He completely skipped the wand customization last video and was talking about how pressed chat was lol yeah man because even if you didn’t care it would’ve been cool to see the options. Pretty sure he just felt embarrassed he didn’t even notice. Tbh a lot of his gaming stuff can be kinda boring compared to his other content unless he really enjoys the game. Dead space remake play through though had me bugging at all the power nodes and sh*t I watched him pass 😣😣

Just because you enjoyed the game, doesn't mean, he has to also. I also went into the game with no particular expectation, but I constantly find myself checking out, mindlessly complete tasks and not at all engage in the story of the game like Charlie is right now. Is it my fault? Or is it the game's fault? You tell me.

I think if you’re not a big Harry Potter fan, it’s probably pretty mid. But for us mega fans this is a dream come true. 9.5/10 for me. But I’ve also read the books like 12 times so I’m a special case. I totally understand if people don’t like the game
