Stumbled upon Charly Bliss a few months ago on spotify. I haven't been so excited about a band in well over a decade, and even those bands didn't evoke this feeling in me. I actually thought they were a 90s band that I had somehow missed and I was shocked that they are current. Shocked and so happy! I've been telling everyone to listen to Charly Bliss when any kind of music discussion come up. Thank you for putting joy into my cold dead heart once again.
It was about 2 months ago for me, a random video RU-vid served up to me (this one in fact). I'm seeing them tonight. Love these guys, I can't even count how many times I've listened to both albums in the past couple months. Totally relate to your comment.
have you seen them live cellophane? thats how i found them. opening for veruca salt. ive seen them 16 times since. the show was life changing. meeting eva was life changing. they since have become friends i see at charly bliss shows. so nice. always make time to talk to you and ask how your life is going.
@@rosa-hu4kf Hi. what are your feelings about the new album? i have been listening to Mimi gallagher bands (NONA look for "through the head", Eight and Year of Glad), the band PONY and others...i desire that power pop with guitar riffs i did love the charly bliss EP they released with supermoon.
@@miked4309 i was very stubborn at first because of my extremely specific taste in music, i never expected them to start doing more synth-pop music. it definitely grew on me though, its amazing and filled with bangers. i am a huge fan of their new single, but my favourites remain guppy and A Lot To Say. my favourite track on young enough is the title track (young enough) because of the emotion at "I HAD TO CONSUME AND DESTROY US!"
Saw them tonight in Brooklyn. They are killers. Every song they play just how you wanna hear it. Incredible show. One of the best indie acts live today.
This is liiterally my current fav song, After I bought my April 2023, ticket to your show!!!! Loved y'all when you played the Foundry, my former gf won those tix, I won the studio session ofThe Unlikely Candidates same day , pretty awesome day
Man this song is pure fire. I love that false ending. I have been saying this band is gonna be huge one day. Between this and Capacity it feels this is the year. All hail the new queen of rock and her valiant knights.
I'm curious as to how one find artists like this? Not mainstream but not super underground. Excuse me for not being fully aware of where to find this kind of music. Is it considered indie? Thanks in advance!
brand new video and 1300 views....wow..i remember when i first fell for charly bliss...you might of had 13 views on some stuff on youtube. great to see you talented kids getting the recognition you deserve.
Some of us don't need a promise of fame and fortune to play a 80s inspired song.. lots of us love that shit.. it's not selling out if it's what they wanted to do.
