Everything is a lock except possibly DT, CB2 & WR2. Those 3 positions are still up in the air, we might try to fill 1 or 2 of those with our pair of 2nd rd picks in the draft. The DT is the most pressing position bc we let Rankin's walk, we traded Collins and they were the core of the position last year and help achieve the #1 rushing defense together. And since we haven't brought in an official DT starter with those 3 FA DTs, that doesn't mean DeMeco Ryans won't pull that dawg out of 1 or more of them and they become a starter quality player. Same with CB2, they brought in 2 new CB FA with Jeff Odukah and CJ Henderson who were drafted #3 &# 9 in extremely recent drafts, so if there is a possibility of one or both of them turning into the player they were highly touted to be coming out of Highschool and University ball, the ceiling is there but will DeMeco tap into theirs OR will this be one of those two 2nd rd draft picks that turn into a starter? And WR2 we already have Nico who TOOK WR1 easily from Woods, but Woods becomes a FA after this year and he is old now and I'm almost certain they will move on instead of over paying again. So that means fill that role now and develop into a possible WR2 next year, most likely this will be one of the 2nd rd picks considering how deep this WR class is.

Nah CJ deserves the franchise money first even if he trys the Brady sh1t. I'll be glad we pay him big money.

What are you on about? Texans have it least 3 years before they have to worry about that and even then Anderson is gonna take a chunk as well. Not having a first round pick in 2024 is gonna help that situation too.

@@texoutlaw1732 tell me how not having a 1st round pick this year isn't looking past tomorrow, plus the fact Nick isn't signing FAs to big long term deals to avoid conflict in the cap in the future. Out of Nick's first 2 drafts maybe 5 players will be re-signed, 4 if Green doesn't step up and the cap goes up every year. They should be just fine with the cap once Stroud and Anderson are resigned and into the future.

They are tapped of money for big names, after making the last few contracts up they will drop in cap space. Right now it's 16.9 million, and they have 7 contracts they are working to fan out, once those hit it will drop way more. No more big names man, those 2 players you mentioned want TOP positional money and we gave out a lot of money bringing in a massive load of defensive talent. We are just fine, draft your two 2nd rounders AND even next year you will have 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, etc... & 85 million in cap space with ONLY 1 big name FA to resign - NICO!! So the Texans can go ham again next season except remember to fix it where when CJ gets paid the proper contracts end so he can get paid. Remember they signed Danielle Hunter Azeez Al-Shaair Denico Autry Joe Mixon I mean how many other teams do you know added this much talent this off season? Maybe 1 to 3 teams of the other 31, and how many of them made the playoffs and even won a game last year? Huh 0? Oh yea I can tell you of some playoff teams who lost a bunch of players but not added 3 defensive studs and a RB(Joe Mixon) who LEADS ALL RBs from the same draft class as Kamara, CMC, Aaron Jones, Dalvin, Fournette, Conner, Hunt, Cohen - so yes rushing wise, they've brought in the rushing leader of this insane 2017 RB draft class. And the 3 defensive studs totaled in 2023 = 296 tackles & 30 sacks!!!!! That's an average of 100 tackles & 10 sacks per player!!!! Defense UPGRADED!!!!
