It was a hard-fought top-10 finish for Chase Elliott in his first race back from injury. But after a tough race, Elliott climbed from his car and took a seat in pit road.
Nice to see him back. These guys are serious athletes, coming back so quickly from such an injury. He definitely looked pretty spent, it was nice to see the media actually have a little common decency and give him a little recoup time.
That was a fantastic job of chase finishing in the top 10 and gets back racing after a quick and speedy recovery after that Injury he's a Legend and a hero
Chase glad you are back You done a great job today 10th is not bad for a driver that been out for few weeks and hurting. Go get that 1th place finish next week.
What he did coming from the 20’s to finish 10th after the final restart was far more entertaining than anything in this race today including Larson getting another Mickey win - Glad to see him back
Larson did kinda back into the win but it doesn’t bother me, a Hendrick car won and my favorite driver finished in the top 10 after coming back from the injury. Him and Truex both got all they could get out of that final run.
Idk what they did to his car at the end with 50 to go but he passed 14 cars to finish 10th..he was the fastest car on the track..wish they would've done it sooner..
He said his leg was fine, just a little stiff. No pain or anything. When Kyle came back from injury, he was in pain when he came back and took several weeks to get over that.

So good to have Chase back to racing. He was pretty exhausted which is understandable. He’ll work on building his endurance back up for sure. Let’s go win Talladega buddy!!!
Couldn't do his conditioning with the busted leg - so expected for the first few races to be a challenge. He'll be able to do more training going forward.
I wonder how long this injury Chase had and the one Kyle Busch had would take to come back from on different sports. Going to have to check out the exact injuries and timetable for return from these two and then check the exact injuries and duration for the other sports
Chase is back, and it's good for him as well as for NASCAR. A top 10 finish is great. He should talk to Kyle Busch about coming back from a leg injury. Good news.
You gotta think about it, Chase Elliott‘s first win last year came at Dover, two weeks from now. He could probably still win the regular season championship in a couple races. Maybe even the owners or drivers Championship.
There's no way he can win the regular season championship, you can miss max two races to still be able to win that. However, playoffs and overall championship are still very much attainable for him
He's still not 100% they rushed him back I feel like I was there and when he came off the driver intro stage he wouldn't bend/put any weight on that leg someone almost had to carry him down the steps

You have got to be kidding me. These guys are allowed to enjoy there time off the track. He has said in interviews that it was not even something dangerous just going down hills like he has so many times before. His knee just decided now is the time to go. You all need to get off this no fun during the season crap. It’s not like he was in the half pike or something! He also flies his own plane. Should he stop that too? Stop being so soft.
