What i love about the two versions. Loathes version feels like there is still hope in it. Like it's blissful. Where as sleep token, the direction vessel took it. It sounds so hollow in such a fantastic way. Like the dust settling after a fiery eruption, welcome the end.

I love them both but I prefer the original too, the static midsection into last chorus just hits like a truck. Though I do love the absence and space in this version too. Same as their covers of I wanna dance with somebody and when the party’s over

Highly recommend checking out Loathe's original version of this, it's equally if not even more brilliant. Also their song Two Way Mirror is a straight banger

5:10 that explanation of this song and sleep token as a whole puts the feelings I’ve had for their songs into words. I’ve never been able to vocalize what their songs do for me and other people. This is the first video I’ve seen of you, but that explanation brought out so many emotions. Thank you

@ChaseCarneson can't wait for them to put new stuff out one day. Can't get enough and curious as to where they are gonna go with the new look and label. I hope they stay genuine to their creative process. I really can't see Vessel or II letting go of that and letting someone else steer their vision. I doubt very seriously they would be okay with that. Hell maybe even III and IV will start joining in on the writing process. Either way, I hope they keep the control over the creative process because that's what makes them so unique and special. ❤️

Oh yay, you reviewed this song! I really like Loathe's version too (maybe even prefer it which is a surprise because I'm a fan of Sleep Token), and it's really interesting in hearing the difference in how each singer delivers the song. I managed to hear Loathe sing it live and truly it's an emotional song.

@ChaseCarneson I'm currently listening to Cos Sylvan's solo stuff (he's allegedly a nameless ghouls from Ghost) the thought I wish his voice was a little louder in the mix wandered into my mind. That, distinguishing the layers, and understanding the timing and spacing makes the music so much better.

This version is good but I do believe it sounds very subdued in comparison to the original. Which to me sounds full. Reaching all of it's potential. Not to take anything away from Vessel, but the original is just better.
