Same... thinking I need a 70-71 Z/28 Camaro, IRS, long rod GenV LT1 built by Katech with a GeForce trans, and fitted _exactly_ like this, minus the paint.... I want to drive it, not spend weeks getting it to return to looking like glass just for a single drive to spend another couple weeks polishing 😅 Thinking Cortez Silver, black striping, black leather would do the trick 👌🏻 Oh, and a matching 70 C10, IRS again, matching paint (minus striping), AWD using Denali/Escalade goodies and custom parts, along with again, a Katech built 427ci LT with a Whipple and a Bowler T56.... should be good enough (and possibly a Singer built Classic Study 911)
I’m utterly speechless. That is, sincerely, the most beautiful, awe-inspiring car I’ve ever seen. What an amazing job done by everyone who played even the smallest part in bringing this car to absolute perfection.
This isn’t a Chevy Chevelle anymore. This is a Roadster Shop Chevelle now. It’s a shame Chevy doesn’t make anything with any soul anymore. Good on you guys. This is a masterpiece of automotive art.
Roadster Shop has built the best Restmods bare none. I love the wheels how the replicate the original rally style. Perfect is the word to describe this build.
That’s a special kind of build. Take my hat off to the owner and The Roadster Shop for sharing their ideas and the results of this project. Baddest Chevy 454 to me, now that’s a great 454. The ride, function and quality is great.
I love details based off originality. You always hear other builders say " it will still be in style 20 years from now" . That's rarely true because of wheels and outrageous interiors. This car will never go out of style because it was based off original. Original NEVER goes out of style. Many details I noticed but most will not catch the master cylinder lid. Right now people reading this will go back in the video to see what in the hell I'm talking about. Lol. Roadster Shop, you guys are LEGIT.
Saw this at the good guys show in Pleasanton. It’s a work of art. Most of the people didn’t realize how ridiculous this car is. Roadster Shop killed it
This is the first car I’ve seen where a 17/18 front/rear wheel setup looks great! I normally hate a staggered diameter wheel setup but I can honestly barely tell it on this car and it looks awesome. Great job RS!
I'm a 70 Chevelle SS freak. Had one back in 76. Loved that car. If i ever had the money to get another one. I would want it to be done like this one. Just the other day i was thinking if that day ever came. I would want a wheel and tire package like this. Great job
Well i guess im gonna start watching you tube videos on building cabinets so in 75 years i can have a car built like this. I dont think these guys are chasing perfection anymore because they nailed it on this build for sure. From the tucked bumbers n every single panel gap interior paint n body absolutely flawless.
May very well be the most desirable 70 I've ever seen . I bought my 70 LS 6 off the showroom floor and didn't realize all the flaws from the manufacturer but it did kick a lot of ass
Machinist for 31 years here and you want to talk about OCD, look no further...to the point of loading the dishwasher man 😆. This is the most perfect muscle car I have ever seen. KUDOS to you and your team of builders!!! Party at the moon tower baby......LET'S GO!!! 🤘😎🖤🤍
The fitment, spacing, fenders, stance, whatever(!), are perfect. That's what makes it stand out from the Saxton(?) car. Just that more modern and refined stance make this the near perfect vehicle. Thanks for building it!
In 69' when the new Chevelles came out it was my all time favorite. 69 Chevelle and 69 Mustang Mach 1 were on the top of my list. Then when the 70 Chevelle came out it took a few months to grow on me, now its a toss up between the 2. I was a few years from diving age still but was a car nut since I was a tyke in the late 50s. My first car was a hand me down 65' Ply. Ironically the first car I ever bought with my own money right out of HS in the mid 70s was a 69' Ply Road Runner. Current car and daily driver today is a 2017 Super Sport Camaro 6spd manual. Love it. Bought it new, now have 72k miles on it.
Awesome Chevelle, I'm 66 & loved muscle cars, fast cars, hot rods all my life! Currently own a '23 Camaro ZL1, 6 speed. Love everything about the car!!
Holy moly Batman that is incredible!! I think my favorite part is the fact that the engine looks period correct but it's a modern reliable piece. Great job Roadster Shop!!
I went to the Chevrolet dealer with mom and dad at 8 years old in 1970. Mom planned to buy a Nova. I saw a cranberry red Chevelle Malibu 307. A look at that front end and hood, I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I begged them to buy it. They did, and I eventually learned to drive in that car. If I had known better at the time, I would have looked for a higher number on the fender. Amazingly well done guys! I’m starting to sound like Jay Leno now, “when I was a kid”…
I have 2 Spec Chassis, and all I can tell you is I'll be buying more. It's a couple of notches below aerospace quality and provides everything you'll ever need. Thanks for bumping up the build quality to another level.
Whenever I'm sitting in traffic, I look around and see nothing but gray and white crossovers, they all look a like. Cars like that Chevelle have personality, especially compared to all the same old boring crossovers and econo boxes that are out today.
Probably the nicest 70 in the world, OMG, I'm speachless. Thank god it has all the old style trim and door handles. If I see one more Kindig door handle I will puke.
Man. I now know I'm poor when I couldn't afford anything on that car. But man that would be sweet to own and drive. I love the stuff this place puts out...
The 70 chevelle is so iconic. No matter who you are or where you live in the world, the majority know what this car is and what it represents. Hats off to you guys at roaster shop for such a beautiful build. Definitely my kind of build. Simplicity. Alright Alright Alright. 😅. Oh, and ps, nothing beats the sound of an actual bbc. Beautiful nonetheless. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
That intro was one of the reasons the LS6 ‘70 Chevelle has been my all time favourite muscle car . My uncle also owned an original in green . Killer build 👌👏. Only thing I would do different would be an OG motor with some modern twists. I just couldn’t do an LS based motor . Has to be a Carb and have the right sounds . None the less , I like this one 😎👊
You guys are the best at what you do. Automotive amazing. So much class and everything else. Every little detail. I have more fun watching these than anything else. I would do just about anything for a "Roadster Shop Build" of my 65 Riviera 🙏🏼
