The yearly spray down along the tracks to eliminate weeds and fires from trains sparking along the tracks, here is CP 5989 EMD SD40-2 leading the Davey spray train from Ruby Creek to Saddle Rock, on the CP Cascade Subdivision, in British Columbia. They were kind enough to turn the spray off before it passed you then 🤗 But I don't think I'd want to breathe in around3:00until it had gone past 😊

The crew was pretty considerate stopping the spray when you were within a certain distance. Can't help but wonder if you were a nuisance for them being too close to the tracks on some shots.

Certainly not water they are spraying! Certainly poisonous enough to shut it off each time they approached me lol.

@@TracksideTyson the black tank cars hold water to mix with the herbicide. I have forgotten what the herbicide is called. Railroads post notices of treatment and dates in local newspapers and on-line. The right of way could use some ditching and ballast cleaning. The herbicide is in the white tanker and you can see the connecting piping between cars.
