This video follows my attempts to chase the world's fastest downhill run of art of rally's Mount Haruna - in "the original" AKA the Toyota AE86. I planned on needing more practice than I ended up getting, so this video's format is changed from the original plan but I hope you enjoy the more "live" format!

It’s kind of funny because the reason they still race on these mountains was because they used to be dirt roads and people would rally their cars as fast as possible up and down them

I noticed you never really kicked the clutch going through corners, I think it would help your cornering speed a lot. Especially through those hairpins in second gear

I just got this game a few days ago, purely based on your videos Hoki. Got a gaming PC for the first time in my life(consoles only until now) and this was the first game I got for it. Which is a bit ridiculous considering how powerful the PC is, but I watched thirty seconds of footage of this game and immediately knew I had to get it. It's exactly the kind of game I love: simple but deep, stylish, game-y, passionate. It's amazing that it came from one guy. Some publisher needs to give him all the money in the world.

just downloaded this earlier, trying to wrap my mind around the physics and handling still. I'm not too worried, art of drift had me out of whack at first too, but once it clicked it was great.
