I didn't watch them for a few rounds after they dumped Crowley. I'm almost at point were I'm going to stop supporting them as they still can't get trade week and drafting correct. They find a decent player and trade them as they get to there prime. Until they fix this they will never win a gf
There's a future AFL coach no doubt. He's seems smart, can talk well, obviously knows the game inside out and would gain instant respect from anyone who he coached. He'll be coaching from the day he retires. In a way as a captain he already is a half pie coach
Gary Ablett is well-spoken - but he has developed that. He was awful only a few years ago and hated the spotlight. The captaincy at Gold Coast has done him a world of good, and he has grown immensely. He has become far more rounded than his father, and despite his success, as well as the negative attention he receives on-field, he still retains a great sense of decorum and class, and is extremely fair (never reported). I saw his first game, and also saw him kick his first goal, and he's my favourite player in the AFL today. A person who has worked hard in all aspects. He fully deserves his success.
I think Gary Ablett would be an incredible commentator when he wraps up his career, almost in the same vein as Leigh Matthews...but his coaching ability would be quite interesting to see, given his leadership abilities on the field with the Suns atm....
+uraniumdeath Jr is all those things, he's a good man but nothing can make think there was anything more magic and better than his father on the football field ever. I'm lifelong Essendon but Gary snr is the ultimate, he had 'it'. Gary Jr is pure brilliance, class, incredible, generational and more but his father had an indescribable magic that nobody else could see at that point in time.
Miss Ryan Crowley so much. At least HIS dad didn't give a hot shot to a young 17 yo he was screwing, and was then put in the AFL Hall of Fame with the other scrotes.
