I'm going on 73 this summer. And you are an inspiration. I decided to drag out my makeup and give myself an overhaul. I used what I already have, I can't afford anything expensive but I did find a few products you listed on Amazon at a reasonable price so I added them to my cart. I'm glad I decided to watch some of your videos. You look amazing.

I’m 67 and lost my husband 3 years ago I’m really struggling to find joy again, I haven’t had make up on since I lost my husband. I’ve been having a hard time with turning 40 this year and all the visible changes that come with that. Watching her GRWM video and hearing her say that she’s so lucky to have the OPPORTUNITY to get old has really been eye opening! I’ve been so caught up in the negative aspects of aging that I never stopped to think about it that way but she’s so right! Tomorrow is never promised much less another year...what a blessing it is to be able to grow older with the people you love and be able to experience another year of life! I will be 60 this coming year and have basically given up on makeup other than a little mascara a tiny bit of blush, mind you I used to be a makeup queen with smokey eyes and lip color when I was young. I just want to thank you for your videos, I look constantly for makeup tips for an aging woman esp under the eyes....and I get either people who obviously have had "work" done or botoxed to the max or formal super models who don't really have bags/dark circles. Firstly, you are absolutely radiating beauty! My Mum has thyroid issues that gave her very protruding eye bags, not dark, bags that vary in size depending how she is (health.) I've always thought I see past these and when someone is truly beautiful, beautiful eyes stand out regardless. You hit your eyebag really well with concealer and I am delighted to hear so many drugstore (we say chemist) in UK or pharmacy products used by you. I'm 21 mins in and can't wait to see your finished look. I love my Mum so much so to me there's nothing more beautiful than a woman's skin care and getting ready routine. I grew up watching Mum. When I was in my early 20s, I remembered thinking, “When someone is 40, why would she bother doing her hair? She’s almost dead!” 😣 I’m 53 now and I care more about taking care of my skin, hair and health more than I ever did before. I love what you said about being grateful to have the chance to grow old. My hair has grown down to mid-back, and will be donated soon, as I’m ready to have new cut! I’ve decided to go back into my makeup, a little and use my dentures , again, now and then! YOu are a lovely woman. I am 73 and remember my beautiful grandmother who had a lovely routine every morning .She wore a morning coat, silk, not a bathrobe, very elegant when she got out of bed. My grandfather brought her her coffee to her dressing table where she sat and "put on" her face. After applying her face, just powder for her porcelain skin and a litte touch of rouge, eyebrow pencil and mascara she looked so beautiful, I and everyone who knew her adored her.Then came perfume or toilet water in summer depending on her plan of the day. SHe put on her corset,hose latched to garters dangling from the corset, laced it up in front, bra, full slip, then dress. IT took nearly an hour as she took her time doing all this, jewelry, even clip on earrings worn AT HOME! Ouch! Those things pinchedI know bec. she let me try them on. SHe went through all this to be beautiful for my wonderful grandfather . And she really, really was. Until I turned 70 I wore comfortable clothing at home, no make up, and made not much effort except when I was going out of the house. Living a casual life on a sailboat in early retirement had made me lazy! And my wonderful husband, very like my grandfather in so many ways including bringing me coffee in bed, always said I was beautiful. I decided at 70 it was time to take more effort. So I began putting on make up daily trying for a natural look watching makeup videos etc so now I just feel better about how I look. I wear nicer, more feminine things around the house....no corset for me though! Can you imagine wearing ALL that clothing on hot south Texas days in summer with just an attic fan before air conditioning? I could not have done it! BTW, Retin A really helps our skin look better even in our 70s. I used it every night for three years then every other night as my dermatologist recommended It got rid of age spots on my face, tightened up my fine lines...it doesnt replace a face lift to lift muscles, but still, it took ten years off my face. Now I am using it on the backs of my hands and upper chest to remove age spots and it works. Dr. David Lim on RU-vid has some great videos on how to use it. It is a Rx in the US but there are overseas providers who sell it and ship to the USA for much lower than US prices. ALso if you live near the Mex border you can get it there for $10 to 15 for a month size tube, no Rx needed versus $40 in the US plus the cost of the dermatologist. IT has been used for decades safely with no adverse effects. The only caveat is sometimes you need to start with the lowest dosage and apply once every few days, then more often and then a higher dosage. DR. Lim explains all this in his videos for anyone interested. I will stick with Retin A over plastic surgery, Botox or any fillers bec I have seen that it works.
