Once again Nikol, you did it!! I just love how you transform these ladies into feeling their best without going over the top!! Confidence is so important as we age! I’m 71 so I can relate!! Thank you!😇😇
Your mother is beautiful, and your makeup application made her even more so. This tutorial reminded me of my Sundays with my mom, I would do her hair and makeup and she felt so pretty and special. Sadly, I lost my mom in 2014 to Alzheimers but I have these wonderful memories. I'm almost 65 now, and will incorporate your tips myself, thank you for the video.
Nikol thank you so much for this video. I’m 70 & almost gave up on makeup because my skin is so discolored it was hard, saggy & old to make it look nice. I’m going to invest in the products you used today because she looked so beautiful when you finished. Thank you for including older women in your videos, it’s greatly appreciated.
I bought the FirmX after seeing this video & I'm hooked. It's amazing! I'm a minimalist/novice at 62 yo, when it comes to makeup so I'll mostly be wearing this by itself. So impressed!
I am 80 years old, used to wear makeup All the time till about 70! Now have not bothered, so after watching your videos I am going out to purchase some more of everything. Then give it a go..... I have bags which distress me, hence have not tried to use makeup. Thank you for giving me the incentive to try again.
Lord let me look as beautiful as her at 70 and remember all of your makeup tutorials tips etc.! I have to worry about severe hoods and jowls unfortunately. My mom is actually having surgery on her eyes because the hoods have actually started affecting her vision 😔 she’s still beautiful though! Anyway, thank you so so much for your videos!! I’m 43 going on 44 and have been realizing the last couple years that the beautiful makeup I did on my 20-30 something’s face is NOT working on my smarter more mature face! You’re a blessing!
Thank you for your makeup ideas for mature women. I am 62 and still love to use makeup. Your skill really helps me look my best eventhough I have mature skin. Love all your ideas. Thank you.
I bought this product & I ended up returning it because no matter what I did, it left this white powdery cast or residue on my eye. The instructions say to go over any white powder residue with a q-tip to remove it & it didn’t help because it’s just how this dries. I’m actually pretty patient & can be pretty innovative & creative when it comes to making something look right or work & this was just an epic fail. You really can’t reap the benefits of a product like this if all you can really see in the end is a very obvious & odd looking white cast on the skin. It’s too bad too because this stuff does tighten & shrink the skin. Not to worry though, someone at some time in the future will create this same amazing product but without the residual white powder. I’ll wait & try it again then.
I used for years Jenuesse ageless.did the same thing..I ordered this one a week ago..I love this type of product if you do it lightly you should need any makeup over it..great for bags!! I get puffy from allergies and I sleep like I am a contortionist so my face takes a beating on the pillow!!! I just bought a few products from you for the first time..they are lovely!!TY!I LOVE her hair..it is gorgeous!
🙋🏻♀️Thank you , I just turned 60 and trying to process it 🤷🏼♀️~ I’m gad you give the gals some confidence ~that cream for the pooofy eyes,is great. You might like to know ~~~ l call you the ‘forever young ´ Lady 😊 have a nice day 🥰 😊
A good way too keep fluid build up under eyes is to learn lymfatic face massage. I do it Every morning and have been rid of my bags 😄👍🏼 But start sooner than later as the skin gets more streched out the longer you have eye bags.
I tried Plexaderm a couple of years ago... 😅it was horrible. Left a dry scaley like film and, no, you CANNOT wear make with it. So, what is the point?? Most people who would use this product have the darker circles under the eyes, so they would want to use at least a concealer. When they make one that works with concealer, I might be a fan.
Can you do a simple make up tutorial? I don’t put on make up but I am interested in proper skincare before putting a layer of light concealed or foundation.
Just discovered your channel. GREAT content and greatly appreciate you listing all of the products used. Can you add the brand and sku of the glasses you are wearing in this segment? Thank you!!
So sad though..as soon as it was removed they started returning. I would cry from happy then cry from disappointment. So it was more a hardening product..?
It’s a lovely make up you’ve done I must admit, but I still feel that I should be pulling more my perfect eyes you could use that but like you say it does go crispy or is he wearing make up you can’t put make-up over it and it tries to put too much on. It’s like a packet of Chris only if you are as it does pull the eyes in it take to be out and something we could put it on Sumpter bin and put some make-up over the top for Dentist powder just to finish your face off because it goes white and then they are telling it. Oh my perfect guys yeah until you try it yes it does work pulls your eyes in but it’s like a packet of Chris round your eyes. Horrible hard to get off at all. Not sure I saw that use warm water to get it off Your make up on the head, it was very good good job very nice it’s just I’m not quite happy with the eyes I need to put it in bowl then should look great. Yeah eyelashes is I love those as well I can’t put them on myself now you spell too, but I said not so good but I love eyelashes love them I’ve got loads but I can’t put them on anyway thank you very nice just my opinion
You CAN apply makeup after you put on the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye. I moisten my undereye area first, then apply a small amount of FirmX to the undereye area, patting it to cover the entire area, blending/thinning out the edges by patting the edges gently with dry fingertips. As it dries, it should leave a light/white-ish film under the eye, which I've found helps cancel out any discoloration in the undereye area. Once dry, apply your liquid or powder base on the rest of your face, working around the undereye area but not encroaching on it. As you approach the edges of the FirmX, pat and extend the base towards the demarcation (which is nearly invisible since you feathered it out) with the very edge of a small brush. If you've feathered out the base, you can take some light powder on a small eyeshadow brush and just barely pat/press a bit of powder on any problem areas of discoloration. With care, it will look natural. I have large sunken areas under my eyes and it works perfectly to make those areas disappear. It may take some practice, but it's totally worth it!
@@erlindapickman7125 Are you applying liquid makeup (foundation, concealer, etc) over it? Because anything liquid will ruin the effect. I don't use foundation, concealer (anything liquid) over the the dried gel. Once the gel is dried, the skin is taut. If you pull at the area by applying makeup with your fingertips, or if you basically re-moisten it by applying liquid makeup, it will lose the tautness. Like I said, I just take a small brush and lightly pat mineral makeup (in powder form) on any area I want to conceal. Also, don't wipe it off like it says to do in the instructions. I would do a video for you but I don't know how.
Anyone wonder why the ladies shirt is a different color shirt in the side by side???? Was purple with bags, then she has a black shirt after with no wrinkles! I think this is a scam.
I have that Peter Thomas Roth eye tightener. It takes a while to learn to use it. If you don't put it on just right it cracks and will look chalky. I don't use it much anymore. I do the trick with eye concealer that you were sharing. Using a light concealer, just on the dark shadow underneath the bag. Then, i use a darker concealer on the bag itself.
Hello, Nikol, I love your makeup series and have picked up a lot of your unique suggestions! Thank you! I have always loved makeup. I recently had my eyebrows TATOOED!!!!! She was an artist! And I am so delighted with what she did, No more time drawing on my eye brows! I have no other tattoos and will not be getting any more ! 🤗But I wanted to tell you one tip that I discovered . I use Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm. I am 74 and have been using it for about 4 years . I apply all my makeup first and at last I squeeze a small dab of the firming gel in the palm of my hand and add a few drops of water to it. I mix it well and apply to my under eye with gentle finger dabs across the under eye bags. I then fan it to make it dry fast and it does a great job for me. The pre makeup can’t be oily and I apply just a little on that area. ( I use Maybelline Instant Age rewind eraser makeup ). I really think by thinning the gel and fanning it to dry fast will help . I am always told I look about 20 years younger than I am. ♥️I am married to my High School Sweetie. We have 5 gorgeous daughters who have given us 8 Granddaughters and 4 Grandsons. And I Thank Jesus every day! Thank you, you are so beautiful, I am glad someone wants to help us old ones, we still love looking pretty!!!!♥️
Try THIS ... I have used a similar product and the ONLY way I could use it with make-up (foundation NOT powder), was to mix a small amount of foundation with the product. I applied foundation on my entire face first, then I dabbed the "foundation + product" under the eye. That was the ONLY way I have ever been able to have successful results. NEVER let any powder (eyeshadow, blush, etc) get on the "product" treated area. Powder makes the product begin to crack ... you can only "start all over" at that point.
Thank you! I was excited about the peter Thomas Ross under eye tightening cream working beautifully for the model here and then the product had to be removed because of flakes and cracking of that product! I thought, well now what? But you just shared a great tip..mixing a little with liquid foundation..i will try this product now, thanks to you sharing your tips! Thanks again!!🙂💗
Thank you, watched the whole video and she never solved the issues of: How long does it last How can you stop the crumbling which is unsightly. There needs to be a balance with how much PTR is used with whether or not it’s doing it’s job. Since you solved the problem by adding a percentage of foundation, what percentage works best?
Such a cool lady, but the "temporary eye tightener" by Peter Thomas Roth, like all others is just that. A temporary 5 minute fix. Don't waste your money on these products, including the makeup. It's nothing more than an infomercial. Be yourself, use very little makeup like Maybelline, and you will shine...
I gotta say, this sassy lady looks absolutely FABULOUS! I've been watching you for a while now, Nikol. What I like about you is that you get it, you truly do. Just because we age doesn't mean we don't want to be the most beautiful us we can be! You help us achieve that. Thank you. Sending you a big hug! :) xoxoxoxo P.S., I'm 67!
That was the most beautiful transformation for a lady of 70 yrs 🙂. I am genuinely impressed by your choice of products, and your skill. The look is fresh, youthful, discreet and certainly shows that less is more. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Two lovelies and so true about just having fun. Two years ago at 79 I made my silver grey hair from which I stripped all mahogany hues out, lavender. From then till now I have never once gone out shopping, stranding or to the beach without someone(s) complimenting my hair. Young men, children, older men and women of all ages stop me and say I LOVE your hair, it really works for you. And never am I not grateful for being included in the mainstream of everyday life. I think what it is is that it says to people you don't have to be afraid of getting old. You can still have fun and be hip in your own way. I always thank them for appreciating me and so grateful to still be "relevant". I was always into fashion and henna hair and all kinds of interior and fashion arts and I am glad to be the messenger that you can continue to be yourself in new ways. Thanx to you both great job.
You applied way too much of the product under her eyes and that's why there was a powdery resedue afterwards .This product must be applied in very , very small amount and not with a cotton swab, best used with a finger, tapped into the skin( very little amount goes a long way).Afterwards a white powdery substance may appear.Do not swipe it off , tug the skin, rub, clean etc, very gently with a smaller , looser brush( not dense) dust the resedue off using such light touch with the brush.Afterwards if you want to apply concealer and foundation it MUST be applied with gentle, tapping motion so the formula of the eye bag eraser from P.T.Roth is not disturbed. The only way you can apply make up on top of that product is never dragging, pulling, cleaning , buffing the skin under the eyes.Just tapping gentle motion..placing the concealer into the pores veryyyyy gently .It's def. a proccess of trial and error until you find the best way to use this product. It lasts for 6-7 hrs if you don't break the formula by whipping, dragging, pulling, applying products the wrong way. Many blessings to you.Love your channel and you as a MUA and as a person👍💗
Nikol, I began using this product about a week ago. I LOVE IT! Yaywhooooo! Something wonderful has happened to the bags. So glad you discovered it also. ❤️❤️❤️
As I am approaching 70 and have bags (thank you mom), this video was a great refresher course in helping to disguise the bags and puffiness. This was also a reminder that you do not need to cake on concealer to cover every last age spot and to be myself and be proud of the life I have led and all I have overcome. Thank you.
Well put! I’m only 46 but severe chronic health issues (Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Fybromialgia, migraine- the list goes on, many are courtesy of my mom lol) coupled with a pretty tough life (I’m a survivor of domestic violence) have really aged me. I’m learning to think of every line, every crease, as a battle scar earned by overcoming adversity and surviving illness. The fact that I am still here is indicative of strength and the lines are proof of how hard I have fought.
@@girlrebuilt Yes! Absolutely! You are victorious! We are victors, since I I have a similar story! Every day is a gift, and we are marvelous. Our makeup shows that to the world! You go!
I’m definitely going to try to take your advice. I always feel I need to cake on concealer and makeup so that there’s no evidence left behind on my face of the life I’ve lead. ☺️
@@TriciaGrace I bet your face shows love and compassion to others. We don’t have to cover the marks that led us to have empathy. We can give ourselves the grace we give others. We’ve come a long way to gain our wisdom and lines! Our bodies are still serving us! Our faces are still expressing our love and humor! God bless you friend! My goodness! Just saw your picture - you’re young and beautiful!
I loved this because her under eye issue is what I also experience and I commented on it a few videos ago. Thank you for addressing this and showing the options out there. She looks natural, vibrant and beautiful!
Hello, I love the ladies hair and sassy style, totally full of spunk,a real hip chick 💃.I used to have this issue,I tried this product & did not work for me. I have been using Clinique all about eyes ( the thicker version) since 2010. And 🌸KAPOW!🌸 this product worked fantastic for me,,I use it every night, I don’t even have any sign of bags anymore. Oh & by the way my sisters name is Collette also. All the best! Cuddles from Canada 🇬🇧🇨🇦🌸
Fabulous tutorial! i use the undereye stuff from John Thomas Roth because of heavy eye bags. I then use powder foundation (matched to my skin tone) over the rest of the face. Just a thought.
I love your tutorials! A word of caution though, regarding the use of eye liner beneath the upper lashes. I have severe problems with dry eyes, like many women my age (I’m 61) and have been instructed to keep this area very clean in order not to clog the tear glands.
Possible solution…Have you tried using OcuSoft? My ophthalmologist says I can wear eye makeup as long as I remove it as soon as I come home with OCuSOFT. It’s a cleansing foam that keeps the area very clean so there’s no clogging of tear glands.
$64,000 question is how long that lasts. Nowadays I make sure I always have my glasses on since the frame helps obscure the bags under my eyes. Not too long ago, that area was flat as a pane of glass.
What a beautiful woman . I have darkness / bags as well I despise them . I’ll put makeup on but not under my eyes I use this product called “ instantly ageless “ I get mine off Amazon I’m not affiliated in any way I’m just a firm believer and have used this product for over 4 years I don’t go out with it . Please try it you gorgeous woman 🌻🌻🌻
@@jojogrzy1904 no you can not but I just found out that “ Peter Roth “ has something that you can use makeup you can purchase it at Sephora I want to try it as well my daughter has it and tried it on me it’s actually works amazing and is less expensive than instantly ageless I also tried “ plexiderm “ terrible it burned my under eyes good luck 🌻🌻🌻
Beautiful job!! My mom passed 2 years ago at the age of 72. I always did her makeup because she always told me that I “know how” to do it, lol. I really miss her! P.S… I’ll be 54 in October, so I appreciate these tips because apparently I still have a “young face” according to family and friends 👍🤗
Just wonderful. This channel makes me so happy. I'm 58, and this channel lets me know, without a doubt, that I can, and will, be beautiful for the rest of my life.
Love that hair! The style and color go together beautifully. :) I think she's right, too, about gaining confidence as you get older. People don't talk about that enough - I guess they're too busy trying to "fight aging," which is basically a fool's game. Much better to be cool and bold and fabulous like this pretty lady!
Nikol, your talent and encouragement are phenomenal. You have a calling. This model is beautiful and spirited and you showcased it. Her look is pure class and confidence. Brava!
I dont know why you would remove the PTR eye fix. The bags came back. Try using less or mix it with a little concealer and then apply it. You did a disservice to PTR product. Sorry!!
I used this years ago. I have both puffiness and dark circles, so wanted some coverage. I used a mineral/powder foundation and that seemed to work well, as long as I applied the tightener carefully and blended it well. It did feel tight under my eyes, so I took a wet cotton swab and ran it along my lower lash line, and that made it more comfortable.
This really is dramatic! She just looks so much healthier, well-rested, and attractive! I’m 62 and no longer care to wear makeup. This is perfect for me!
Us older ladies enjoy your videos, they help us by giving us ideas to help with aging. And I love how you explain how we should apply our makeup and serum that actually helps us. Thank you very much. I love that she's brave enough to put the oink in her hair!! I've wanted to dye mine lavender but, just to scared to because I'm afraid people will think I'm just a silly old woman, my skin is still in decent shape and I'm 64yrs young but, still afraid I'm to old.
@@shl9560 I was looking at boxes that have the purple color and they have some really pretty ones. A friend with black hair did purple to color the gray, but you could only see the purple in the sunlight. Personally, I am slow to go gray, but when it happens I only intend to use henna just so I can keep my hair healthy. Then I am going to tape in golden highlight extentions. But that's not because I am afraid to look silly with a fun color. The truth is..some people WILL think you look silly. SOME. Others will think you look great. Many will also wish they were that brave. And a few will go out and do something to their own hair because they figure if you can...they can. You can't please everyone so don't try. A good rule of thumb is if YOU like it, some other people will too.
My attitude is I don't care what people think I don't live my life for them people I live my life for myself to please me! I tell everybody this is my little happy world and I'm going to paint it any color I want and do whatever I want I'm 66 years old so I'm going to make myself happy in my own little happy world! Hey we were in a freaking covid lockdown for 2 years and I decided then during that time this was me and my little happy world at home so I'm going to do whatever I want to makes me happy the heck with the rest of the world! And if everybody had that attitude we wouldn't have to worry about what Tom, Dick, and Harry, or Sally, Sue and Mary thought about our hair or makeup or our clothes this is me and my little happy world you all dress the way you want in your little happy world! LOL I'm just expressing how I feel and if you want to color your hair purple green, blue, or whatever color you want to make it you do it! It's all about making yourself happy and pleasing you especially when you look in the mirror that's who you got to please!
