Join us for our Erev Shabbat service we will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. This portion honors the life of Sarah, Abraham's wife and Isaac's mother. The Hebrew Scriptures begin by saying that Sarah was one hundred years, twenty years, and seven years. Torah teachers also honor Sarah by saying, “At one hundred years, she had the beauty of twenty years and the sin of seven years.” The majority of this portion speaks of how Abraham dispatched his servant Eliezer to acquire a bride for Isaac. Eliezer’s journey took him back to Abraham's ancestral home to find Rebekah, Laban’s sister. Eliezer was guided by the LORD in a fascinating way, which is detailed for us.

I really love hearing Torah taught by someone such as Monte Judah. He brings out many wonderful things, stories and traditions which have been passed down back before Yeshua walked as both God and man. When I began this journey, I never did expect to find Yeshua being spoken of in the Old Testament. Thank you Monte for your wisdom and your stories, to help me better to understand and learn the scriptures. You always have been such a blessing to me. Shabbat Shalom !!

This is based on the fact that the foreigner is a believer and part of Jewish society. Not someone sponging off them.

I remember reading an article several long years ago, that actual physical records of this purchase were found in an archive. The Arabs have the evidence. I wish i could find this information again.
