What a rare pleasure (too rare, nowadays) to listen to a man who not only knows his product inside and out, but also has an enthusiasm for it because he knows what a top notch product he's selling.
@Kenny Perez See whilst I agree Retail employees are largely underpaid, I don’t agree that it means they can’t take pride in the service that they as individuals deliver. When I worked in retail I got paid a tiny wage but I always went out of my way to deliver great customer service to customers, because I wanted people to think I was great at my job and enjoy their interaction with me. This is a trait that I have carried on throughout my career and has transferred time and time again :).

I have been lucky enough to meet this gentleman, Martin Grey, on two occasions and I can confirm it was an absolute pleasure on each occasion.I walked away each time knowing I had just met a knowledgeable and charming ambassador for his chosen trade. It restores your faith to know care and service still exists in this world.
This is a total accidental ASMR video. I love it. Just listening to this guy's soft voice and his knowledge. I've watched this video countless times. Watching this video makes you forget there is any evil in the world.
When I was a kid in the 1970s and 80s, you usually went to a shoe store to buy shoes, i.e. Kinney's and Tom McCann. There were actual shoe salesman who would do what this gentlman does. I miss that. Professional, quality service has declined dramatically over the past 20 years in just about every sector of retail. I just love watching this video. Very relaxing, and now I want my very own pair of Cheaney shoes! $$$.
Shoes are a complex subject matter, a normal joe can not be expected to service themselves when buying a pair of shoes that will fit the way they are supposed to. This isn't like buying a loaf of bread! Retail has gone down in quality--and is now the domain of young women who don't know the products they are selling like this gentleman does. And I don't say that to offend because how can they be expected to know?

This guy is an excellent salesman. Watching this video several times made a Cheaney customer out of me haha. They’re fantastic shoes, surprisingly heavy. The rubber sole on the chukka boot is like a fortress for your feet. No snow, ice, or rain (we have all three in abundance where I live) can get through these.
I love it when people take such pride and joy in their work. Well done to Cheaney shoes and Co. When I go to London, I will definitely stop by and get some shoes.
LOL, I will never spend big money on clothes or shoes, I spend as little as possible but I do love the knowledge and professionalism of these bespoke old school craftsmen and services
@Hitado Dota Well pride or not, being cheap saves money that can be directed to more important things or be employed to obtain greater quantity and variety. Often many cheap things are better than one expensive thing.
@@MeToo-py1tq ASMR is a feeling created by a video, sounds, etc. where the listener feels "tingles", relaxation or a calmness. I don't get tingles, but I definitely get extreme relaxation from ASMR videos. Just search ASMR on RU-vid...
I’ve earned a PHD in shoes just watching this over several times. I now consider myself an expert on leather business shoes. I’ll be sending my business cards out soon so, be looking for them. And if they’re not fitting well at first, don’t worry, “they’ll ride up with wear.”

I bought a pair of those Jackie III chukka boots after watching this video. They are absolutely fantastic, they look good, feel great, and even smell nice. Worth every penny. Thank you, Cheaney!
The craftsmanship of the shoes looks excellent! They may be expensive at first but, with regular maintenance & care, they should last a very long time.
Quick piece of advice to the guys at Cheaney. If you start posting regular videos on this RU-vid channel, you could build a very large audience, entertain people and sell a heck of a lot more products - just a thought 👍
superb presentation , an excellent promotion for Cheaney shoes . I have a wonderful pair with the Goodyear soles , everything that was said about them is totally right , great product.

Very informative and well presented film ... I can thoroughly recommend the reconditioning service . Shoes are returned as new but no Breaking in to do 🙂
if you think of it, it is expensive...but only part of the price of high-end smartphone (which is techno-junk after 3-5 years). Good shoes are a better investment if you ask me...

I have never owned leather shoes, but my english manager was talking about his extensive shoe collection. (he wears legit sexy shoes). He gave some advise and recommendations on brands, sole differences and leather qualities. I am starting to take a liking on the leather shoe business now cause of this OG grandpa. Will definitely buy a pair.

This gentleman speaks a very natural and nice English language, with a London accent but without sounding too posh or unnatural like some people speaking with a RP accent, and he also knows and believes what he is talking about.
