Cheap and simple DIY moth trap for conservation use. 

You could if you wish make a 12 volt version which could run off a battery. Always check and release the moths the following morning and release them into some dense undergrowth.

Ideally you need to use a mercury vapour bulb and not an LED. LED will attract some moths but its been proven to be far less effective than MV bulbs
