Hey John, good job on that call. Just wanted to throw out a helpful tip for those that may not know, the lugs on the contactor can be swapped if the old contactor used the crimp on connectors and the new contactor has lugs for bare wires. The lugs can be removed by completely removing the big screw and a smaller screw will be underneath which will allow you to pull the lug off and you can use the screw from the old contactor so you dont have to cut the crimped connectors. Nothing wrong with doing it the way you did though, especially if its out of warranty. I've done it that way many times. Anyway, just wanted to point that out for some newer techs that might not realize it.
Good trick is to cut the tabs off the wires on the load side. Leave the crimped section and you can screw it under the lug. It creates a nice tight fit.👍🇨🇦
And I love that new Klein multi screwdriver/ nut driver. That 1/4" hex adapter in the handle comes in so handy for all kinds of stuff. You can shove anything with a 1/4" hex in there and lock it in (great for a 6-inch extension). I stopped carrying my Malco connext after I got the Klein. 😮
@@sknight0391 I'll take your word for it. You've always had the best equipment 😉. Mine can't do that kind of detail 😂. I feel obligated to mention that China is capable of making very HQ stuff when they want to. "Milwaukee" (name only) tools are made there, and so is Navac. Many people are shocked when they read the fine print.
