OhYeahAboutThat nice! Yeah I seen your ranger lock install, I didn’t know it was the same one lol but I’m glad it’s going good with yours so I’m expecting it to last too. I like how responsive the remotes are
Nice! Can u list the kit u got? Seems like a much more simple set up. Is it the same process on both doors? Oh and can u possibly hook it up to the parking lights so it can indicate that it works from far away?
DC2xYANG yep it’s the same thing for the passenger side door, it’s just a blue and green wire you hook up to the door actuator. And it has no other outputs for a parking light flash, no siren, or hood pin trigger.. it’s only for actuators.. I’m pretty sure if you are good with relays and such I’m sure you can rig something up using the actuator outputs.. To install the actuators is different for different makes and models. I ended up using my factory actuators. I do show how to get the brain plugged in and working.
thanks - this convinced me to buy a similar one but the distance the actuators move isn't enough to lock and unlock my door lock - I thought I could maybe make some kind of lever arrangement - any tips?
It said to press the learning key for 1 sec on the ”host”. Both my keys was connected thankfully. But im guessing that the ”learning key” is the reset button he refers to in the video, because thats the only button i can find on my ”host”(the main computer box). My kit is a little different though, because i have a second cable connector that controls blinking lights and trunk opening(that i cant figure out how to get working).
Linda, that’s a super slim chance of someone with the same remote just to happened to walk up to your vehicle and open it. They’ll most likely break in using a shaved key, or pry the door. You’ll have better luck winning the lottery. This keyless entry works absolutely great and it’s a super bargain.
@@IntegraDIY thanks for answering! I have another doubt, if I need to synchronize more remotes, should I use the same method to do so? i can get some universal remotes from eBay and I wonder if I can synchronize them as well. Thanks!
Check the module if it has a reset button? If it try unplugging it letting it sit a moment, then plug it back. I honestly think if it locks itself that’s an added feature, because mine doesn’t have that
