The first "hack" doesn't work for many modern photo lenses, as the speed you turn the focus ring changes how far the focus will throw over a given degree of rotation. That means hitting consistent focus isn't just about turning the ring the correct amount but also about turning the ring at a consistent speed.
Great tools! I need to buy a few of those clamps, and using step-up rings is amazing for filters. I just bought an 82mm filter for my biggest lens so that I can step up my smaller lenses. I also have some velcro, but I have to remember to put it in the camera bag. I also want a flag, eventually :-)
Oh boy. Better tell Lorenzo to go back to basics! 1:18. Tightened that gobo (AKA Grip head) the wrong way! Tighten towards the weight! This isn't stated enough on sets. I've worked with inexperienced grips that were left to their own devices and when the DP asked for a flag over the talent they tightened a 4 by floppy in a cstand away from the weight! That guy was responsible for the talent being knocked in the head by that flag! When you tighten towards the weight, the weight of whatever you're securing, in this case a flag, will actually help tighten the gobo even more. When you tighten away it does the opposite and ends up hurting people! Be mindful everyone!
Do you people do voiceovers on your videos? Or do you record it using some mic . Explain me the entire process once, or please make a video on the same.
Your question doesn’t make sense Obviously they do voiceover. It appears he scripts his segments, says it all at once in front of the camera, and then they had footage on top of some of the things he’s talking about
I found the easiest way to pull focus is simply touching my screen on whp or what I want it to focus on. Unless I'm using an all manual lens of course.
