Thailand has to be the same as it was before or i will never go again, Ie no app, no covid insurance , no quaratine and a bit more of a better attitude from the ladies.
same here .... i only go for a few weeks each time and im not spending that 10 days in a jail or getting any untested gene therapy disguised as a vaccine
If there’s any quarantine in January 2022 I know of at least two people who will be giving Thailand a pass. I’m pretty sure that we are not alone in this. p.s. the bluish tint is an anti reflective coating ( magnesium fluoride) found in optical glass regardless of other tints.
10 days quarantine and negative covid test for vacationed tourists in July outside Phuket won't work. Few if no one will come. 3 to 6 day quarantine might have. It's crazy to quarantine vaccinated people with negative covid tests.
Yeah, it's a bit too much. But understandable. They are trying to balance between potential COVID death and lost revenue. Not an easy decision. I am assuming, the policymakers are fully aware of the potential political fallout for whichever decision they make. There is a personal risk involved. For me, I want them OPEN ASAP, so that we can go and chill.
And now a fifth interpretation of the future immigration regulations. The embassies abroad have implemented none of this as of 2-day. Much of this is founded on a proposal document from the Economic advisors council - which does not make immigration regulations, they only make recommendations.
Pretty cool news! I get a free vaccine from my work this week, but I probably will not go to Phuket during my summer holidays still if there's only limited areas you can go. If other cities in Thailand are still quarantining in January 2022 I probably will spend my Chinese New Year holiday in Phuket though. Great beach views in this video, mate.
I'm doing 14 nights ASQ in Pattaya now no problem deluxe room with balcony, tests done after the 3rd and 10th day after that you can exercise in the hotel grounds for 1 hour, smart tv, great food, I've had the vaccine before i came out, but still have to do the full 14 days, really if I'm honest after the 10th day and you are negative, why are they keeping you at the hotel for the other 4 days? of course its all about money!!!!
For us in NORTH America, it's more like, its depending on the number of PTOs you got. I cant spend 10 days in a hotel room. Entire year, I got 4 weeks paid time off. It will just kill my career to take 2 or 3 weeks off for a vacation.
"you can exercise in the hotel grounds for 1 hour" - this sounds like prison, will I get beaten for excercising for 1 hour and 2 minutes instead? will there be guards watching me? .. that's just big BS this quarantine

This is a great video thanks for the update, don’t know if I would be willing to go if i’m going to be limited to certain areas, especially in Pattaya if this is the case probably won’t be going until next year.
There is a lot of problems with this plan but for us Aussies we still have to quarantine 14 days when we get back home and that alone cost $1000s. So don't expect Aussies there for a long time unfortunately :( In fact, if vaccines do that they say they do then there should be no need to quarantine, but they don't, so tell me what will remove the need to quarantine? Covid will always be around like the flu, and until we can protect the elderly and vulnerable nothing will change sadly for years if governments keep getting it wrong.
Don't see how this could work, even if I was allowed to leave the UK. For me to get from my home in Stroud to Heathrow involves 2 trains and a coach. Plus waiting at the terminal, the flight and taxi down to Pattaya. Door to door 20 plus hours. And are there direct flights from the UK to Phuket?
Hi Daz, I can't seem to find anywhere on the Thai embassy website for Washington D.C. where it states you have to be vaccinated in order to enter on April 1st It says the quarantine has been reduced from 14 days to 10 for countries with no cases of the variant strains, see below this was copied directly from the COE "certificate of entry" Thailand visa registration site fon NON THAI CITIZENS. Update on Thailand’s quarantine measures From 1 April 2021, 00.01 hrs. (Thailand time) onwards, Quarantine period will be reduced from 14 days to no less than 10 days for travellers from countries with no cases of COVID-19 variant strains. Travellers from countries with cases of COVID-19 variant strains are subjected to 14-day quarantine. For travellers with vaccine certificate and travelling from countries with no cases of COVID-19 variant strains may be eligible to no less than 7-day quarantine. This condition will only apply to those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by World Health Organization (WHO) or Ministry of Public Health of Thailand no less than 14 days before the travelling date. Travellers must present vaccine certificate (an original paper or a print out of online vaccine certificate) to International Port Health Control at the port of arrival, otherwise you may be quarantined for no less than 10 days. Remark: The list of countries with COVID-19 variant strains will be determined and updated by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand every month.
I assume the price includes the frame? Do you have any non-glare coating on the lens? I have 2 pairs of glasses the lenses on one has no damage from scratches and the other has terrible scratches over time, it is due to the coating on the lens!
Is this place still there? I revisited this video cause I would like to get some progressive lenses when I’m there in April 2022. Far less expensive there than here in the States. What a bargain. Did the price of the specs include a full eye test? or I was thinking it may be best to get a test at the hospital with an opthamologist and take the prescription to them for the specs to be made? Whatever, that price is very good. Thankyou for sharing 😃
My understanding is even if fully vaccinated and you go to Phuket and lets say spend 3 weeks there you still are not really considered ok to travel to other areas of Thailand or is it as they previously said once you are in the country for awhile 2 weeks Quarantine you are then ok to travel as long as you test negative. It seems a bit of a mixed message.

10 days quarantine for fully vacinated travellers is still expensive and totally unesessary....or what's the point in having the vacine in the 1st place ?
I get 26 working days holidays a year, 10 days is still too long. I could only really take 2weeks off :(. If it was 3 or 4 days i maybe think about it as this would let you get over jet lag and acclimatise to the heat lol.
7 days ASQ anywhere in Thailand if vaccinated. No "Fit to Fly" cert needed. No end date for program stated. Thai nationals don't need rtPCR test, fit to fly, insurance. From website: Royal Thai Embassy Washington DC.

Next big hurdle vaccine passport my company has been told maybe we will have a vaccine passport which will be excepted worldwide by airlines and countries i think covid test and some quarantine are here for some time even with a vaccine passport
When will the other provinces or areas complain that why is Phuket so special? "Give us money". Or maybe the other provinces are happy to sit back and wait and see how the Phuket thing goes. If any app is enforced, that is fine. I will bring a throw away cheap trak phone that I will always have off, which is how I usually operate my phone anyways

You said you can't come at all unless your vaccinated? Even if you quarentine.. you sure this is true? Thailand have been welcoming non vaccinated tourist since October last year
What state do you live ? I live in the province of Alberta and I paid $ 800.00 Cdn. $ 460.00 one lense. $120.00 for one lense just like window glass . He frame was not to expensive. I do believe we really get ripped off.
No point even discussing the matter the truth is no one wants to travel with quarantine what’s the point and that being said who would even want to travel when the tourist industry has been vertically destroyed. Like l mean take a look a this video for instance lol very few people are seen yet alone any shops or markets open, it would be just a waste of money on a holiday also it will take years for things to be in full swing again and back to normal at least two more years minimum where you don’t have to quarantine at all and shops and stores will be fully operational again, And that’s looking on the bright side of thing’s, don’t even get me started on the dark side of what could happen, l think you all already know what can happen. All we can do is hope and pray that holidays will be a possibility some time in the next year or two from now. Yup depressing
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen , the restricted sandbox aka north Korea experiment is a joke , so if I want to come to pattaya in November my movements will be monitored and freedoms will be restricted in November, am done ..... they deserved all the misfortune they get
