Prices are gradually going up in Seoul, but there are still many cheap lunch options if you want to save money while traveling in Seoul. We certainly didn't get to cover everything, but we hope this video gives you a general idea of how much you can expect to spend on an "relatively inexpensive" lunch.

These lunches are so extremely cheap!!! And they look so good!!! All I need now is a plane ticket to soeul lol

But i can find 1000+ won or 1 usd worth of lunch in my country. Varies from noodles, bread or rice based lunches. That's average, not inexpensive whatsoever.

Thanks for replying my comment. I've had a hard time studying Korean on your channel with soft-sub. I wanted to download the video so I can study off-line, but that means "no subtitle". Surffing on the internet for too long is quiet harmful and unhealthy LOL~~~

Stephen Nong but the OC said’ in america it would be double the price’ to which this person replied ‘no i live in the city an it would cost the same’. I remember when I was stationed in Seoul back in 2001-2002, there was a place I used to stop for lunch between Main Post and my apartment. It was like a food truck, but it was built into a building. I used to get different, tasty, filling and cheap meals there for between 3,500 and 7,000 won (depending what I bought. I remember that it was a lot of food for the price.

When I was in Korea for my spring trip, 10, 000 won was my food budget for the whole day. But it's possible because I was not a picky eater. Most of the time, I bought 1 whole fried chicken for 5000 won in the street and cook rice in the convenient store. Just add noddles if I need soup and that will be enough for my Bfast through dinner meal. I normally eat the same meal every meal time and thats no problem.
