Randomgaming reviewing ali express GPUs is the crossover of the century. Dude, here in Brazil we are buying these cards like crazy, they're really cheap. 51risc, Jieshuo, Soyo, Mllse, all of them are selling tons of cards. I would love a review of the Xeon kits available there too.

Yeah they're legit. Using a maxsun 1050ti myself, no issues at all for almost a year now. I agree that they're more known within China.

I was contemplating getting a Maxsun card a couple of years ago as they seem to be quite a big brand in China although I have heard that the can be a bit cheap in build quality and the plastic shroud.

I have the low-profile PowerColor RX 550. By default it would use about 30w but in the AMD software it's power slider allows up to 75% more power consumption. I run mine at 50 watts which allows far better performance than at its default setting. Nice video!

I own one, the regular Rx550 4gb is a decent budget GPU, the Maxsun RX550 4gb its a hellspawn that 'works' but never delivers the expected performance of the chip, GPU-Z says its both Rx550 2gb and RX550x 2gb. Also the fan is 2-pin and really loud above 40%, and the heatsink is almost nonexistent. Edit: yours seem to be an improved version of the one I own, at least performance-wise and the 4-pin fan making it less noisy.

Bought a cheaper 8700k on aliexpress back in the day, delidded it, still works like a charm, also, a gtx 760 for a cheap upgrade a bit earlier, needed to change the paste, and it worked great

There is a low-profile single-slot version of the Maxsun RX550, which may be worth taking a look at for SFF builds.

I picked up a Maxsun RX580 for £130 from AliExpress before the graphics card pricing madness hit and have used it with no issues until upgrading recently. Highly recommended. The 580 is still going strong in my sons computer now.

The RX 550 4GB was my first video card after years of console gaming. I was suprised by how many games it would run and would take it over a GTX 750 ti any day of the week due to its full DX 12 support and 4gb vram. It's suprising how well the RX 550 4GB had held its value even now after the crypto boom has ended with prices in the £70-95 range on eBay. I sold it and got an RX 6600 but I kind of miss the card now.

My RX550 does pull around 25-30W under load, but I heard somewhere a long time ago that that's only the chip usage, not the whole board. Mine is a 2GB XFX version, and I'm sometimes surprised by what it can do, even if the low framebuffer is bottlenecking it on most newer games (FH5 being a happy exception for me)

Maxsun is a legit brand for the Chinese market. They make tons of gpus. They even make RTX 40 series cards. They have a pretty nice all-white 4080

I have a Maxsun RTX 3060Ti Terminator, initially i had my doubts regarding the brand but it's working super well so far, quiet and cool, while also looking pretty good.

When I saw that card on Amazon for the first time the brand sounded pretty familiar to me. I'm pretty sure I saw it in a completely different piece of technology before. Now, I'm impressed with how playable those games looked there!

i ordered a maxsun rx580 from aliexpress for 111 euro. should get it some time soon. thnx for the review this brand was unknown to me, there are many ex mining 580's on ali for cheaper but i dont want a used card dying on me after a few months. hope it will be good :D

I would love to see the rx 6600m next. It's a laptop gpu bolted to a pcie card, but it works impressively well.

I've had some Maxsun things in from last Christmas aka December 2021, now it had a unique feature of the 4GB DDR4 on the GT 1030 which is a very unique spec, shifted 2 on amazon in a week , plus the GTX 1650 Super with 4GB DDR6 had some good workings, the 1650 I did a blogpost review on which actually performed quite nicely. I've yet to try the B550m Board in the shop when ordered as stock for and the RAM is quite nice looking though missed the RGB options at the time

I have a motherboard from maxsun, an B550 Terminator, and it's pretty good for intermediate processors like R5 5600. It's an unknown brand but it does delivery good products for the price

It was a decent brand around year 2000 in China in my memory, have not heard a lot in recent years. They do have 4080 and 4090 in their product line but only sold in China.

According to a Chinese friend of mine, Maxsun is mainly known for their motherboards in China. Maybe you can try and get some cheap B660/Z690 board from Maxsun? Test the BIOS and stuff like that.

I had a socket 1150 ITX board from Maxsun. Quite full featured for what it cost and it worked fine. Had some strange choices like 10/100 ethernet and USB3 as a front panel header, but not on the rear. Other than that, no complaints.

I ordered this card just yesterday. Glad they are performing well shew😅

What an informative video. If you are willing, would you be interested in trying the RISC 51 brand from AliExpress/Newegg? I've been wanting to buy a 6600XT from them for a small linux home theatre/gaming setup but I don't know if they are legit, they have positive reviews both online and on RU-vid, it's just I can't know for certain.

Only thing that can really be done for more performance is trying a custom interlaced resolution in the driver settings. I know Elden Ring can be 30-40+ fps at max settings at 1080p but on my rig only gets 60 at 800x600 for some reason. Probably my slow CPU (i3 4130). In Dark Souls 3 it gets 60 at 720p at max but lower on any higher resolution.

Please test RX 6600M next! I mean that one from MLLSE on Aliexpress. I think you will have a lot of fun with that one!

Hey Steve can you try some of the gpus brand called “Vurrion”? It’s from my country and I’m using their h81 motherboard and they are quite good and cheap plus it comes with Nvme slot. So I’m kinda curious about their gpu

They're well known in Indonesia too. We have a bunch of their motherboards and RTX cards as well, idk if they made 40 series RTX though

I think you should review a RX6600m from AliExpress. This card is a best you can buy for 200$, if you can accept a risk and fact, that is a oddly Frankenstein built somewhere in China. Was a great upgrade for my i3-10105F setup.

I have the Maxsun GT 1030 and GTX 1650, they're not half bad!

Very impressive for a budget card. I was surprised how good the percentile figures where and never that far off the average FPS. You may want to strip the card and make sure the thermal pads/paste are ok but solid budget offering and great review as normal.

PhilsComputerLab did a Dell OEM RX 550 4G G5 review yesterday, I like that version of the card better. Seems like yours is working pretty similarly, though.

here in the philippines there's also a brand thats been getting quite a fad on his name, its 'Aisurix" and they mostly sell 580 8gbs for ~$100. might look into these as well though some reviews say the card is just a refurbished 570 but for that price and 'brand new' i think its a very good deal

I had a maxsun gtx 1060 3gb terminator it was a quiet and cool card. The weird thing is the 1060 3gb terminator model had 8pin power and the 6gb model had 6pin. There are also Yeston branded chinese cards.

kind of curious if there is some power unlocker software that people use to overclock laptops and stuff available to put more juice into it

52fps like Fallout 4 is pretty good if you have a Freesync monitor. You can sync that up to the GPU and it really smooths things out

I had one of these, it was insanely loud like an Intel stock cooler at full speed all the time while running with the side panel off at 80 degrees Celsius.

Besides Maxsun, Yeston also have rx 550 (pink) in low profile with vga/d-sub output. Some youtubers have bought and review it few years ago but not much info after that.

Can you raise the power limit in Afterburner? Seems a bit low to me too, I can find values like 50W online.

low end cards nowadays are really quite good for performance. I wouldn't have expected playable framerates in cyberpunk so its nice so see that you can play pretty much any game for $100.

Is that a NH-U12A for the 13400? 😀 I think these low end cards could be paired with old CPUs like i7-4790k to make a retro Windows 7 gaming machine (oldest Windows to support its drivers) and play Skyrim or Mass Effect at 4k. Ah, would love to have a working machine like that. I see a RX 580 around but I guess it was used in mining, but a 2-4 GB card won't have that possibility.

Maxsun has been on AliExpress for quite awhile actually. If I am not wrong, Maxsun are the OEM for Zotac or Palit. Anyway I overpaid for the Maxsun RX 550 single-slot when I bought one for my Lenovo ThinkCentre M75s Gen 2 in mid-2022. Should have been more patient as prices continued to fall by about US$10 towards the end of 2022. 😑

Ive had a maxsun b460m motherboard for a few years now and no issues yet but getting sound drivers on it was a pain and i had to contact them, they sent me a link to some chinese site with drivers i could download, it was very unclear and the motherboard i had wasnt even listed. Forget about any bios updates too.

The RX Lexa (02 GB and 04 GB) is truly an option that is built to handle virtually any title that was made with DirectX 09 in mind, as well as give a boost to lower end CPUs for any form of Media Production; this card (especially OEM units from Hewlett~Packard via the Pavilion Series) will see some troubles with OpenGL and Vulkan if you don't adjust some incredibly specific presets in AMD Radeon Software and it truly showed me how unstable Polaris was, despite how much of an uplift it gave to many OEM and Power Limited systems in an era where there weren't many new options. Considering how much Nvidia's Quadro AMP 2000 (RTX A2000; in this case, the 0I2 GB model) showed us where 070 to 075 Watt cards are supposed to perform in the Modern Era, if price weren't a factor, then I would say for anybody to get it; fact of the matter today is that AMD cards at the Entry Level are not in a position for expanded use, and until it can deliver a product with 1070 Ti~style performance or better at this tier, the 2000 Class Quadros of both the Ampere and Lovelace Era will continue to be the dominating force for upgrading many older systems for many years to come that anything from Polaris, Navi 0I0, and Navi 020 will ultimately be ignored.

This would be a great GPU for some e-sports titles, HTPC, emulation PC. It will give you performance similar to Vega integrated graphics. It is a great match for an old 3rd gen i5 system which you can get for little to no money these days. But $115 for an anemic old GPU is not a great deal when you can buy the Dell OEM variant on eBay all day long for $69.95. I mined Vertcoin on a Dell R7 250 for a year so you don't have much worry about a Dell OEM GPU dying on you.

Can you build a pc that cost as much as the game but still can run it? 3d rendered any game shooting, open world anygame but try to play any game after 2021.

The quality of components in these gpus is a little lower than big name brands such as Asus, MSI, Gigabyte etc. However, these are still vg gpus in terms of performance etc. cooling is from my experience not as advanced or a great as big name brands again, but still perform within safe temperatures. The generally have that fake GTX950/960 shroud on them and feature a DVI port, but these lesser known brands as stated here in the video, are often very big in Asian markets and sold for sometimes 10-15% cheaper than what we expect to pay in western markets for our known brands!

Oc'ing memory by just increasing the clockspeed is not the way how to to do it. The memory has error correction, meaning that if you overclock it to much you lose performance (slower than default) without getting unstable,. hwinfo64 has a stat for ecc memory errors

I've been considering getting a RX 6600M (repurposed for desktop) but I'm super skeptical. It's a really good price and will be a massive upgrade from my GTX 1060. I've seen videos saying that it performs just like a normal desktop RX 6600
