@aimanakmal1660 Thanks buddy! Glad you liked the video, It did take me quite a while to edit it and the car repair takes twice as long to do when filming. 😅
@lobleym Thanks so much! I "think" everything is ok with it... Small spoiler alert for the next video, I do have some concerns about the edge of the door (paint) on the passenger door that was loose. Something doesn't seem right. 😳
Think id have a few sleepless nights spending 22k on a copart ?? But what a relief when u find things like hinge bolts loose or missing and easy fix. Hope progress continues in the same manner ! Eh i had a SLK when i lived in Spain but dont think i would get much use of convertible up here in Edinburgh !!
@arnietwo11 I admit, spending that much did cause some concern! 😅 It is actually the 4th car I have done up from Copart, so I have some experience but there is always a risk with these cars. The E class was by far the most expensive one I have bought. I might prefer to spend less on the car and more budget for the repairs in the future. Or would that be more risky? 🤔
@@ReviveMyRide i bought a cat n ford kuga, fixed and sold it but people are reluctant to buy when its an insurance right off !! Not sure if i wud do it again.
Just bought the same car in the same colour but a e400, paid £28,250 so you've potentially saved a good wad of cash. Really enjoyed your video , hope the rest goes as well as this chapter.
@Pufferkusser oh wow, you got a good price on that! I think I will be ok for price but it's amazing how many little things come up that chip away at your savings! Thank you, yes, working on the next chapter already! 👍💥
Nice one Phil, enjoyed this update. It was a gamble but it’s looking good and is heading the right way, it’s a good looking car. Might see you in the shades 😎 on the road soon 😂. And looking forward to the next vid of course!
@stevenwaud810 Thanks Steve! Was very nervous about spending that much on a project car. MOT tomorrow, still lots to do on the exterior to get the car looking as good as it can and then Yes, maybe some cruising! 😎🌞
I’m now searching to buy one of these and I can get a low mileage 2018 E class AMG line 220d for £24k Prices must of dropped a lot in 5 months since this video
Hi, I’ve heard used car prices are dropping now. I think the chip shortage is easing, more news cars are being bought and that is reducing demand for the used cars. May mean that I lose money on my E class eventually but these cars are depreciation proof like some of the other cars in my “fast fleet” 😁 cheers, Phil
@@johnauld0 hi, we love it. It’s a big comfortable cruiser, so would be great for the trip you describe. It’s got a bit more space inside than the C class, which makes it feel more luxurious. Early days but no issues with it. Cheers, Phil
