Thanks for sharing will. I’m looking at a gt4 and would not have understood that the exhaust is so muted without your content. Might look at the 981 variant as noise is a key part of the fun with these cars.

Mate, I've watched several of your videos. This one was proper. It answered my query about getting the cargraphic or unplugging the valve lines.

Getting mine installed this week on my ‘23 GT4. I’m super excited hope it makes a difference. Car is definitely muted unless you push it.

Own a 718 GT4 and the only thing I've done is replace the over axle pipes. I'm in the US through where it's legal. Tip on testing the exhaust note: If you have PDK press both shifters down to place the car in neutral, then apply the gas. The valves will open below the 4K rpms level. I'm not sure how that would work for the manual (I believe if the car is rolling in neutral you can test the sound below 4K then). I plan to install a controller as I unplugged my valves (Simple to do from rear of car by unplugging the vacuum lines attached to the valves). They are stiff and can actually just dangle. I found this to have incredible sound, but at times too loud in certain situations to leave them permanently open. It has all of the pops and crackles in this mode. The stock exhaust is perfect with just the over axle pipe replacement if you're in the US. I know some of us like to go extreme and that's OK too :).

Very nice video! What about the Porsche Approved Warranty? Can the mod be easily „undone“ before inspection or maintenance at Porsche dealerships?

i have these mod on my Spyder , it's WAY better BUT I think it's still missing something , this car deserve a better sound ; JCR exhaust seems to be the perfect balance , will be my next mod

Would this void warranty at all? If not it’s a great mod ! As the 718 does need abit more sound 👌🏻but you don’t want any moaning if it goes in for warranty work :)

I’m clearly missing something here. I thought pressing the exhaust button when PSE is equipped opened the valves all the time?

Is this easily l reversible if later you wanted to upgrade to a aftermarket exhaust?

I will be doing that to my Spyder too. I am half way through the break in period and can rev only to 4,000 rpm. Just when it starts to sound good at 4,000 I have to let up. Driving me nuts!

Still sounds rubbish compared to the 981, I can't believe how much louder the 981 is
