Turns out, snowmobiles are fun in the winter. Can’t wait to see you guys again next year. Might even enter the race. Gonna have to do some damn sit-ups though…
This looks like so much fun! I've been enjoying the cheap sled content so much! This era of snowmobiles has a special spot in my heart. I really hope this is something you guys do every winter.
I love the sxs stuff but I hope you guys keep branching out, do this in summer with quads or dirt bikes, just get into all off road toys. Variety is nice
@@dunkboy96 dont expect them too be good at it, but The process of watching them learn and get good enough to drag race or do lap battles one at a time in the yard would be entertaining, obviously dont want anyone to get hurt, but would still be entertaining, no different than watching sous go from never touched a snowmobile but now did a competitive event on one
So great having the sled content added to the channel. Perfect thing to have going on in the winter when SxS riding kinda slows here in Michigan until the trails close for the sleds April 1st.
I love this type of content. Just having fun, racing, crashing (within reason), good video pace. Awesome job. That double thumb fist pump needs to be in the next merch drop.
Awesome video as usual. I’m glad you guys are having more and more interest in snowmobiles and you guys need this, I Need this lol I use to race snowmobiles snocross and cross country races but I’m more into drag racing now. But as always Exciting show again! Thanks guys keep it up. 👍
So glad i got to meet you guys and experience this in person, also grab a limited edition sweatshirt! In person these guys are just as cool as we see in the vids!
You guys were great! So glad you came out. Let’s build some sleds that are dialed for next year! Thank you for all the positive energy and personalities. See you next year!!! J2
You guys just look like you had so much fun. that is all that mattes. Thanks for posting this content in the winter. Now go put some tracks on your SXS and get cranking on some AWESOME trails.
So we’ll see some snowmobile racing training videos soon? Hahaha. If we ever get some snow, would be cool to see legit track with berms at the Blog compound.
Great vid! .... you guys need major endurance training... I"m going out west skiing this weekend and I've been training for 2 months to get my endurance up.... thanks again for the vid!
Riding sleds hard is one of the gnarliest workouts!! Especially throwing them around in deep powder. I thought I was in decent shape until I had my first day in the powder 🤣 ...all the BURGS caught up with you boys! 🤣🤣 great effort though for sure !!
@@dougbutterfield5505 yes this means I can plan on attending next year. Me and my son would love to meet you guys. I’m Trigg Sellers patreon member. Blog is my favorite content period.
I was looking forward to watching you guys race and you did not disappoint. Great series of videos guys. I feel like this was just a bunch of average Joe's give it hell out there. Keep them coming guys. I am a paraplegic snowmobiler here in the great state of Maine and I love watching some of this stuff I can no longer do. I wish you guys lived closer I have an 07 Yamaha Attak (Apex) that needs some suspension setup work and I have no idea how to do it.
I'm a disabled person who loves sledding also! I was hurt in 2003, and started sledding in 1978, riding hard since 1986ish, if I can help in ANY way, feel free to type me!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
@@billallen4793 I bought my first sled when I was about 51. I am 55 now. I have ridden way in the past on friends' sleds but that was it. I do have a Yamaha Attak 137" track. It is pretty much a Yamaha Apex. Do you have any suggestions on how to tune up the suspension a bit? I like the power and sound of the sled I am just wondering If I should save up and trade it in towards a Yamaha Viper or sidewinder or some of the Artic Cats with the same Yamaha motor, or should I just keep my sled and try and get the suspension dialed in a bit.
@mainenorthwoodshunter3265 what is your sled doing, and what do you want it to do? Welcome to the sledhead world! It's NEVER too late to enjoy new thing's! I find the beauty that snowmobiling provides unmatched to other season's. And riding in an area where the clouds covered up the barbwire and make it 2" thick from the frost accumulation! Let me know what you want the sled to do, and I'll help if I can. I have some tips and tricks to keep your legs 🦵 on the running board's, if that's ever been a problem!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
@@billallen4793 My sled has the original skiis on it and it darts a bit still. I did just put new 6" carbides (woody's Mavericks) My brother and I have been slowly decreasing the spring pressure on the front shocks and that has lightened up the steering a little but the shocks are nothing special. This is the Yamaha Attak. I think they put better-quality shocks on the Apex. I honestly do not know much about adjusting the rear suspension and I am sure that would help a bit as well. I just am not sure if all the adjustments will make the sled handle the way I would like or not. My brother had an Apex GT that seemed to ride like a dream. I had an 08 and someone tried to make that a deep snow sled so that was not set up well at all. Both of those sleds were 121" tracks. I got the 137" with my Attak thinking that it would ride better. I am sure it can with the right person setting it up. I don't have a ton of $ as you may know with the sleds I am buying. I can't afford the $20K sleds
@mainenorthwoodshunter3265 check your ski alignment and make sure that it's set correctly to manufacturer specs! If you loosen the limiter strap it will take some pressure off your ski's while excellerating. Try changing your preload on the front shocks, go up, or down, and see if there's any change! Those 4stroke Yami's are kinda heavy on the ski's, compared to a 2stroke sled. 4strokes just weigh more, and over the ski's is the worst place for extra weight! There must be some Yami group's with content about setting one up to handle the trails. As a mtn rider I can tell you that a good machine on the trails, with be junk in the powder. And a great powder/hill killer will be terrible on the trail. The crossover type machine aren't great at any 1 thing. But are OK at everything! I hope this makes sense!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Definitely getting me a greaser. Gotta do this race for sure. It looked like a great time. Matt's 440 tuned right would be great for this kinda of thing.
I had a 95 XCR440SP twin S.L.P. pipe's, and head's, that would've been the perfect 🥰 machine for this type of event, and track style! I had a red hood from I think a 94 XCR440. I still have a nice 95 Skidoo MXZ583, that would be a solid choice also!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Awesome video appreciate you guys!!!! The problem with Leo’s throttle being like that is it can hold the throttle wot if u crash!!!! The tether did it’s job!
The triple xc has 38 mm round slide carbs and they were quite tiring after a few miles but you need to be a long time snowmobiler for your thumb to grow.
me and my buddies are an hour and a half south of there. Next year we shall compete. One a former mx guy,one a former snowcross guy,and me an overweight 43 year old who just likes to go fast! It shall be epic!
Looks fun. How do I have 200,000 miles on 1000+cc Yamaha motorcycles and have never tried one of these? Wait, I just remembered I moved from Michigan to SoCal when I was 11 months old. Could be why.
I'd say you missed out but what do I know...I'm sure SoCal had it's advantages too. I will say that I'm forever grateful that I grew up in northern Michigan and my dad always had snowmobiles. Some of my best memories involve sleds like these in the 90s. I got into motorcycles in my 20s and I love them too but snowmobiles are a unique kind of fun that you can only know if you've spent a bunch of time on them. I love them.
Definitely considering taking my arctic cat prowler 440 out there for the fuck of it next year and race with you guys! That looks like a blast except getting wore out by lap 5 lol
Dang! I'm an easy 30 minutes from ERX. Wish I would have know you guys were there. Would have loved to meet you dudes. Great last couple of videos. Looked like a blast!
